pretty sure andrew was just joking about peter being bi ive read the 616 spidey for many years never thought he could be gay and as he grew up and became more confident since his teen years if he was gay he would have came out a long time ago i dnt believe hed be scared of what people would think and he knows aunt may would support him bcuz shes an actually good person ive never suspectd pete to be gay nvr seen him flirt with another guy or look at another guy with a romantic glimour in his eyes but i suppose the current movie franchise is a different universe than the 616 marvel universe youll never get a shot for shot live action comic adaptation things happen differently people look differently so i guess its possible pete in the webb-verse? could be bi didnt notice any traces of him being attracted to another young man but i dnt understand why people want him to be something hes not petes a straight white kid whats wrong with that

Considering Andrew Garfield IS bisexual, it's not all that surprising he'd want to explore the possibility of a character he plays being bisexual as well.
