he Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

@JonathaNisMagnuM he knew it was the same guy, he saw it happen, getting revenge would've made no difference to the fact that he knew he [frick]ed up and his Uncle Ben payed for it with his life. Besides, we don't know if the killer escaped because they had plans for him in a sequel?

@JonathaNisMagnuM You could say that. Or you could just relax and accept it's just a movie?

@JonathaNisMagnuM And your point is? The comics are still there, Raimi's films are still there. Webb tried something new and it didn't work but at least he tried to innovate a bit and shake a few things up. No one is forcing you to watch the movie, just because it exists doesn't mean you need to complain about it, just ignore it and move on with your life.

@JonathaNisMagnuM

Obviously there were many problems with that film script structurally like the killer, Lizard Army, etc but keep in mind that the emotional scenes (Gwen and Peter moments, Ben's Death, crane scene) were very realistic and deserves some credit to that effect.

Well actually half of these so called" plot holes" @jonathen mentions are not plot holes. If you paid attention to the movie and the characters and their motives and what casues them to do those certain actions( stop looking for bens killer) then you would know that Peter stopped looking for uncle bens killer becase he learned he needed to stop the lizard which he helped create. Dr.ratha was a plot hole so your argument is invalid

And he wasn't using his powers for good but rather a selfish manner
