The biggest question surrounding David Ayer's Suicide Squad is: Who is the film's main villain? Well, it looks like we might have our first clue as director David Ayer has decided to drop some hints and details about the film's big bad in this summer's edition of Total Film Magazine. The recent trailers for the film have only given us tiny glimpses of who or what Task Force X is up against, while revealing that the villain will have some very supernatural looking henchmen. Apparently those henchmen have a name, and Ayer is calling them "The Eyes Of The Adversary."

Although the Suicide Squad is made up of some of the best villains the DC Universe has to offer, even they might not stand a chance against the Eyes Of The Adversary. Ayer realizes that the film's main villain has to be powerful enough to take on DC's greatest, but points out that "nobody's safe" when going toe-to-toe with the mysterious creatures. Just when you thought the main villain's identity couldn't get any more mysterious, producer Charles Roven goes on to add some details that might leave fans speculating more than ever. "Let's just say, when they're called in to do this mission by Amanda [Waller], these are one of the things they encounter," says Roven. "They don't know how they got here, but they're weird and dangerous and yet they're wearing military uniforms."

Even with all these new details about the film's main adversary, there is still so much that we don't know. Many have speculated that the threat the Suicide Squad might be going up against could be Cara Delevingne's Enchantress or even the Jared Leto's Joker playing puppet master. Do you have any theories as to who it could be? Sound off in the comments below.

I'm still pretty sure the subway monster is the Joker possessed by the Enchantresse's brother.

@MattBellissimo - I think it's Common's character. Tattooed Man or whatever.

I think SS is going to be awesome, but it's going to get destroyed opening weekend by the Olympics. Sports trump superheroes every day of the week.
