While they may be gearing up for a surprise appearance during the Warner Bros. panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the ensemble cast of Suicide Squad has been spotted back on set in Toronto. There's nothing out of the ordinary, besides an Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje-less Killer Croc, but new set photos show Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), and Jay Hernandez (El Diablo) back in makeup and costume, as well as a shirtless Scott Eastwood, whose role in the DC Comics adaptation has yet to be confirmed. Anyhow, check out the pics below and expect some official Suicide Squad news (and more pics?) from Comic-Con this weekend!

Directed by David Ayer from his script, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jared Leto (the Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang),
Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), with Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Scott Eastwood. The film releases on August 5, 2016!

The resemblance is uncanny. Beginning very starch and simple, with such escalation in tension with it being in analogous to Inglorious Basterds first 20 minutes or so, and a simplified contemporary retelling of War Games/Death Of A Family. Instead of Stephanie Brown and instead of Black Mask (and in following example, Perrier LaPadite and Hans Landa), you get Jason Todd and Joker. The Joker seizes control and erupts a gang war by kidnapping, manipulating and torturing Todd for the information he possesses from Batman's elaborate contingency plan involving international crime-syndicate Intergang, which we'd come to know as the main antagonist and folly for our Skwad. It's also an easy and intricate way to introduce The Fourth World concept, which plays heavily. Bruno Mannheim (Who'd I'd believe/cast David Harbour as) could even use abandoned ruin Ace Chemicals as a temporarily Base Of Operations as he searches the people of Gotham's' minds for a certain formula in an exchange for a certain big baddie.
