The Suicide Squad is locked, loaded, and ready to go according to filmmaker James Gunn, and the members of Task Force X are taking center stage in this month's Empire Magazine.

The feature probably won't reveal too much that wasn't shared during DC FanDome, but the publication has provided a new look at the villainous team (clicking on the splash page below will take you to a larger version). There are some notable absences, but the crew assembled here alongside director James Gunn is undeniably impressive.

From left-to-right, we see Weasel (Sean Gunn), Blackguard (Pete Davidson), Mongal (Mayling Ng), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), T.D.K. (Nathan Fillion), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Javelin (Flula Borg), and Savant (Michael Rooker).

Recently, Gunn compared The Suicide Squad to Guardians of the Galaxy. "I think you know, from pretty close to the beginning, that all of the Guardians are good - apart from Nebula, who’s the outlier. But in The Suicide Squad, some of the characters end up being good, some end up being terrible."

There are already plans for a Peacemaker spinoff on HBO Max, and it feels a lot like Gunn might have big plans for other members of Task Force X as well.
