This is why DC will always be second rate compared to Marvel (other than being a completely unfocused scattered franchise):

They're trying to take a big step forward and maybe correct some past mistakes in future projects, BUT they've got creatives and a huge chunk of their fanbase shackling their other foot to the past, demanding unnecessary redos to those past failures



If WB folds to this BS, the cult will be on to the next one (Ben Affleck's Batman) while also demanding ZSJL 2 & 3 and probably a continuation of Ayer's "Skwad" universe

Marvel comics is all over place I bought sabertooth issue 1 end of book says his mind some place but his is in another place with each turning page of that book it shows differnt characters of X-men , xfactor , different locations marvel books are all scattered and always involving time travel and cloning crap

Ayer really went out of his way to make her not look like Harley Quinn

Dressed her like a Hooters waitress

Didnt even put her in her proper colors

And then there was his failure to portray the relationship as maturely as a cartoon from the 90’s

@eGGtheGreat - Didn’t say it didn’t. But saying it doesn’t look like Harley Quinn isn’t exactly accurate. Her Suicide Squad look is only a slight variation on her Arkham City look, or her own book which came out 3 years before which looks almost exactly the same with a slight color scheme difference.

@eGGtheGreat - As do I. I kinda liked what they did with her in Arkham Asylum (from the neck up) with the makeup, domino mask, and pigtails. It kept the elements of the costume that were classic but also made it not look ridiculous. Not a big fan of the skimpier outfits, I think it’s fine but I think she can be sexy without looking like a hooters girl like the initial comment said. I also wish they’d lean more into her acrobatic nature as that was a big part of what made her dangerous in BTAS. We got a little bit of that in BoP but I’d like it to be more of a thing

Better Team dynamic
Better Rick Flagg
Better costumes
Better sharper shooter (proffer Deadshot in comics but Elba’s Bloodsport is better than Smith’s deadshot)

I don’t think a good version of this movie exists. It, on a fundamental level, misunderstood the appeal of the property.

We already got a great Suicide Squad movie thanks to Gunn. Let’s move on.

I can't imagine making a movie and having so much being on the cutting room floor. You can call suicide squad a guilty pleasure of mine. I kinda like the mess that it is and I really like the soundtrack, heathens being my favorite

I can't lie I'd watch an Ayer cut

Only time I wanna see Harley Quinn in a wedding dress is when she's next to Ivy, which I'm not ever sure is something I need to see. Just move on from the Ayer cut and get Gotham City Sirens already
