I was browsing the internet and came across this...nothing too solid at all but it's still news I figure...Carla Gugino was asked if she'd have any sort of involvement in the upcoming reboot just earlier today and though she denied any sort of involvement, she did reveal however that she'd certainly be open to it. This could still possibly toss her name into the rumor bin...maybe for the lead female villain role? Read on...

"CARLA GUGINO previously worked with director Zack Snyder in Watchmen and the recently-released Sucker Punch.

So will she reteam with the filmmaker for his next project, the Superman reboot starring Henry Cavill?

Gugino was asked that very question during the promotional interviews for Sucker Punch and replied: "I don't think so, but you never know - I would always love to go play with Zack, but I have no idea, is the answer"

well if they were going to go with a woman who is a good deal older than Cavill for Lois, Snyder should have just called up Carla in the first place and given us a sexy Lois. i swear it seems like only the television interpretations can ever get the sexy and sassy aspects of Lois Lane, while the movie versions always are butt ugly [female dog]es.

also, i don't care if Carla is an extra, she is a boner inspiring goddess and a movie can only benefit from her being in it in some way.

My personal opinion...if they DO intend on bringing in Mercy to the film and if they are aiming older- she's not a bad option. It's obvious she'd be open to it and like she said "you never know" there could always be a role written in the script for her!

Carla Gugino is one the sexiest actresses in hollywood. So if she does get a role, then both Ma Kent nd whatever role she gets will both be hotter than Lois? I think Amy Adams is a beautiful actress, but she's nowhere near bein in the same league of hotness as Gugino nd Diane Lane!

I never stated she was actually gonna be in the film.

@Superguy- Yeah i don't get all the Amy hate. I never even mentioned Lois in my article, LOL. I only said I thought Carla could make a pretty good Mercy Graves from that pic i posted above. Then all these comments people left were Amy Adams-hate sessions. Which is sad.

I like Amy.

I said this back 3 months ago that Jon Hamm is gonna play Jor El and Carla Gugino would probably play (and make a pretty good) Lara, Supes birth parents.

I like Amy Adams too, but I do think Carla would make a better Lois. Personally I thought Anne Hathaway was perfect for Ms. Lane.

I like Carla Gugino in anything(ever since Saved by the Bell and Sin City), she's the only reason I still watch Entourage, since everyone else in the show seems like a retard now.

Gugino seems too strong-willed to play Mercy, but that could be why she'd pull it off, depending on who plays Lex(I've heard Billy Zane is on the short list). She might just be perfect.

I don't know if there will be any 'Krypton' scenes due to legalities, but I think she would be absolutely perfect for Lara (only because Lois is taken)

To be quite honest, I like Carla Gugino so much, she could play Superman and I wouldn't care!
