According to the ever-reliable
Deadline, the actor best known for his role on NBC's
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit television series, Christopher Meloni is in talks for an undisclosed role in Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder's Superman reboot,
Man Of Steel.
Christopher Meloni is in line for a big-time follow-up. I hear he is in negotiations for a major role in Man Of Steel, the Superman franchise reboot from Warner Bros that Zack Snyder is directing. No word yet on what part he might get, though. The Hollywood Reporter's sources indicate he will shoot scenes with Henry Cavill.
Christopher Meloni, 50, though known for his Detective
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit role, has also appeared in HBO's prison drama
Oz and recently voiced Hal Jordan in DC's animated
Green Lantern: First Flight film. Being that his role in
Man Of Steel is unknown, who do you think it could be? Lex Luthor?
Man Of Steel is rumored to follow Clark Kent as a freelance reporter in his early 20's, traveling all around the world covering various news stories. However, Kent is forced to fly back into action to attain a fleeing assassin instead of covering an ethnic conflict between the Ghuri and Turaaba clans in West Africa. Upon his return to form, Kent returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and become the hero he was born to be. And starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond and Russell Crowe, the reboot reportedly commences production next month, and is slated for theaters Mid-December 2012!
