Thanks to the fine people over at
The Man Of Steel Fan Page we have gotten a look a a production sheet for
Man Of Steel that list Connie Nielsen(
Gladiator) as being offered the role of Superman's birth mother Lara.
The production sheet also states that Harry Lennix is up for a supporting role as well. Lennix is known for his role on Joss Whedon's scifi television show
Dollhouse where he played Boyd Langton. No word on what his supporting role might be.
The production sheet says that both actors have been offered the roles it doesn't mean they have accepted them. To look at the production sheet click

Man Of Steel starts in August with a release date in late 2012.
