Hans Zimmer Says To "EXPECT HOPE" From His MAN OF STEEL Score
Promising a very different feel from his acclaimed work on the Dark Knight Trilogy, read on to hear Hans Zimmer discuss his soundtrack for the new Superman film.
Composer Hans Zimmer took part in "Ask Me Anything" on Tuesday on Reddit, where talked his favourite musicians, how challenging it is to be a Hollywood composer and the new Superman movie, Man of Steel. He said that audiences can "expect hope" from his latest score. "Hope and not cynicism. The opposite of The Dark Knight."
Zimmer revealed that he is a big fan of the source material. "I grew up with comic books, so I am a huge Superman fan, so that actually became very daunting because I didn't want to ruin one of my favorite characters for a whole generation." The new theme for Clark Kent was the hardest for the German composer to crack "because I was procrastinating for so long, trying to shake off the enormous shadow that John Williams' Superman theme cast."
The Man of Steel soundtrack is available now.
