In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. As I reflect upon Iron Man 3 from this past weekend, I realize the part that got my emotions going the most was the Man of Steel trailer before the movie.

AWESOME! I've had this song stuck in my head since the trailer came out-- it's nice to hear the whole thing w/o dialogue playing over it!

This movie is going to be AMAZING!!!

It's OK. Typical Zimmer. It doesn't compare to the emotion that John Ottman brought with Returns.

WOW. Almost as good as the TDK trilogy soundtrack.

Music is also one of the things Iron Man 3 clearly lacks. And cinematography.

@OhThePerdue - John Ottman is terrible dude. The only good parts of the Superman Returns score was the music he lifted from John Williams.

This is exactly how his music should be this is perfect superman music we haven't heard the whole soundtrack so we can say its better ten the TDKR trilogy but this is epic I love or and this is a million times better then superman returns soundtrack same with the original superman theme from the old films
No one wants to hear the same old superman music we need something new

Brilliant, simply brilliant, the John Williams score for Superman will always be the greatest of super hero scores, but this ranks really highly.

The snare crescendos are a nice touch and so are the triplets but not much of a payoff at the end of the build up

Earlier today, I played a bit of drums with this track in my head, trying to play over it. It sounded cool, I thought "The day they release the full track, i'll have to start jamming on this"

Couple minutes later, I see (and hear) this ! Right on my birthday, THANKS A LOT MR SNYDER !
