Nolan North Working On "Big Project" With WB; Is It SUPERMAN?

Nolan North, who has voiced nearly half of the gaming male population with Troy Baker voicing the other half, recently revealed he is working with WB on a big project. Could North be gaming's Man of Steel? Click to check it out.

The past couple of months, I've been writing about several rumors indicating that the Batman: Arkham Origins developer, WB Games Montreal, may currently be working on a Superman game. Here's basically a summary of what we know:

WB Games Montreal Working On A New DC Game

Leaked Gif Of A Superman Character Bio For A Video Game

Concept Art For A WB Games Montreal Superman Project Featuring Superman And Brainiac Leaks

More Evidence Pointing To A WB Games Montreal Superman Game

New Concept Art For Rumored SUPERMAN Game Features Doomsday

Now let's cut to the chase. Nolan North recently came out and said he's working with Warner Bros. for a video game saying it's a “big, big project”. All he could say about it is that “That’ll be another 10 years of my life”. Now why could that be Superman? Well given how this year WB released Mortal Kombat X, Mad Max, and Batman: Arkham Knight; it's unlikely a sequel this early to those games. That leaves the Middle-Earth series and a new IP which WB Games Montreal is working on that's rumored to be a Superman game. It's important to note that Nolan North has voiced Superman multiple times. He voiced Superman in Young Justice as well as several LEGO DC straight to DVD films. It would make since it could be 10 years given how when thinking how long the Batman: Arkham games have been developed; Conroy was Batman for those games for 6, 8 if you consider the 2 years length of development for Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Now again, he's working with WB. It could be a new Harry Potter game or a new LEGO game or an unrelated DC game or even a Looney Tunes game but Superman has been the biggest gaming rumor to come out for WB Games.  So what are your thoughts on Nolan? Are you excited that the Superman game we've all been wanting could actually be happening or would you prefer a sequel to Superman 64? Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...

@VisionaryNPA

Why would Nolan North work on something Superman besides gaming?

Superman is already cast in movies.

If you don't already know how Young Justice ends, the ending will make you want to throw a shoe at your TV.

Season 3's direction would have been epic.

you do know do know that North does voice acting for animated movies and show too? Could easily be a animated movie but it is most likely a video game.

The article stated it was for a video game, not an animated show or feature.

See, I think a Superman game can be done. Firstly you could have a great mix of gameplay between being a reporter and investigating as Clark Kent to battling powerful foes such as Doomsday, Brainiac and Parasite to name a few.

For me the tricky element comes to the "Random Crimes" we get in these games such as Batman and Spiderman.

There are two ways around this... The plot has brainiac invade and spread the doomsday virus on prisoners which gives ordinary criminals enhanced abilities.

Or, you simply have a story where you won't need to do this sort of thing. E.G. Every element from saving someone create mini stories, maybe you save someone and that activates the someone knows who you are story, prevent a bus crash and that opens up the theft of ancient alien artefacts storyline so you are always doing something.

Or, instead of random crimes you have random "Big Events" Earthquakes in other countries, Tsunamis and you have to get people out before the wave hits, wars, all this stuff and maybe they can have a Hero vs Tyranny bar showing how far you are going as Superman and if you are ethically going to far in helping or controlling humanity, as that'll open up some great questions other moral choices as well only have time to save one person who do you let die, this are aspects that the comics and games don't explore enough

I actually stopped watching YJ in the middle of S2. After the long mid season break I just didn't return. [frick]ing idiots responsible for cancelling it...!

DrunkenNukem - It could be on hold. Warner Bros probably wants to see how the movie does and then make the game.

Young Justice is how a over story for a cinematic universe should be. That was the most epic best villain plan that took time and precision to execute and I loved every bit of it.

If you look closely at the Superman bio GIF, it's the same render as the one used in the newer Goku vs. Superman battle video:

This doesn't necesarily mean a new game isn't coming though

Not really. Look at the belts. The way it's connected to the Shield belt buckle doesn't match up.

Hopefully it's Injustice 2 or a Justice League game as a solo adventure would probablt tank badly.

Weird, I know, but crazy stuff like that happens occasionally! :D

I'm not really sure if someone ever notice or mentioned it, but that Superman in the rumored "new game" pic is the New52 alt for Superman in the Injustice game...

It wasn't one of my favourite games just because i'm not a big fan of the MK style of fighting, but i've no idea why this was unnoticed.

It has gone noticed, almost immediately. Rumor states that it's an early tech demo, with no original designs implemented quite yet.

I would prefer one of the original voice actors for the Supes game.
