Its a big day for Superman news!

Very intressting interview!

So Basically we will not see Tom Welling wear the iconic Superman suit till the very last episode of Season 10!

Thats a shame! imo they should start Season 10 with him being Superman!!!

I wouldn't even be so sure he'll be wearing the uniform, just that we'll see it in some capacity.

If they were to go to season 11, the costs involved would be prohibitive. The shock will be if this show goes beyond 10 -- not because of the ratings, but the expense of continuing.

We have had 9 Seasons of Clark Kent!!! can't we have one season of him being Superman!

I understand him wanting to stay true to Alfred Gough idea, but times change and like the interviewer said people are crying out for the full suit!!!

I don't have any challenge with him not donning the tights. The show is about his growth and maturity up to the point of becoming Superman. That's why it is Smallville. I see him donning the tights at the very end of the series. He will no longer be "Smallville" as Lois calls him, but Superman. That will be the end of Smallville.

Oh...and nice interview, EdGross!

going into season 10 is an amazing feat for a show
based on the concept of forming of a hero to start
to finish!

Hey all....could this be the tie of Amanda Waller to Smallville this season?

During the Superman/Batman storyline "K", it is revealed that Waller has hoarded Kryptonite and used it to power an anti-Superman group called the Last Line, and a Doomsday-like creature codenamed "All-American Boy", who has Kryptonite shards growing out of his body. All-American Boy, (real name: Josh Walker) was deceived into an experiment to use Kryptonite to bond cell scrapings taken from Doomsday to a human host, battles Superman, devastating Smallville in the process. Batman, with the help of Brannon, the Last Line's leader, locate Josh's parents, who convince him to stop. Waller is forced to pay towards repairing Smallville in return for her dealings in the AAB project to remain secret.
