New Smallville Video Promo

There won't be a new episode of Smallville until April 2nd, but the CW has released this promo trailer for what's to come. Thankfully Callum Blue(Zod) seems to be downplaying things, rather than screaming and sneering. Also, Brian Austin Green is returning as Metallo.

Look, people always come on here and bash Smallville, please consider a couple of facts;

1)The show has progressively gotten better, and has done more and more to cater to the Fanboy Population...(namely us)

2)The show has touched on more of the classic characters, storylines and mythos than any interpretation of Superman on anyscreen big or small. These past two seasons especially (despite how they were carried out) have definitely progressed Clark/Kal El's character beyond what any director this far has done.

3)It is better to have a show about Superman on TV versus not having it on. If they cancelled Smallville then there'd be nothing. It's not as if they'd start a seperate series, they'd wait a long time. I don't think tv needs less CB Shows...but more...

4)This show throughout it's history has had some pivotal moments...Clark loses lana then goes back in time to save her but loses his Father...a plethora of characters cross his path, Manhunter, Arrow, Metallo, Doomsday, Zod, Justice Society. The ZOd story angle both the original and the clone have been very well done. The flashback to see some of the history between Jor-El and Zod is unreal. This angle that portrays a conflict of moral standing between those two is unreal. Zod's anger comes when Jor-El refuses to save Zod's child...brilliant...

5)Everyone has to admit that the Zod character has been given such justice as have alot of characters that previously have not...ie Arrow, Lex, Aquaman, Manhunter, Lois even...


Ok, thats all I had to say, I like the show and I think that alot of people are bashing it and not really having given it a shot over the past few seasons...granted it got cheesy there for a while but ìt`s back on track now. Any CB Fan should be able to appreciate the past 2 seasons...

yeah....
Im so glad they got aways from krypto rocks being the cause of everything bad in smallville...but it did add to the show.

I think they should just do like the Star Trek and some how show a portal in the fabric of space and we see that this is a different reality than our superman (meaning like in star trek Clark is made to realize that things changed) this way since Tom/smallville cant wear an official superman outfit...

They can put him in a different version.
Plus I actualy hate the original outfit lol I wish he could update on a permanent basis. I like how batman still have the classic feel but updated.

They [frick]ed up Doomsday last season Royally!! (Was going to stop watching).

@Lee777...Yes they dropped the ball on Doomsday for sure...it started well..I kinda liked where they were going with the fact Bloom came at the same time...BUT then he became Doomsday and a)Looked Cheesy b)Wasn't a real threat...How does the only guy to kill Supes get handled in like 2 or 3 Episodes...They should have built up Bloom and then had the character disappear before it actually turned to Doomsday and just left the threat linger for later....

You got good points though, CW did bend doomsday over big time and ram that kryptonite butt plug up his a$$!

The only cool thing about Doomsday is they buried him in the shaft and exploded it on him. Now when he breaks out, it can be somewhat like the comics where he has to punch his way out, but I'm like the rest in hoping that he stays gone from Smallville. He definitely needs some classy CG work to bring him to life.

smallville is shit,its nothing like the superman comic he works at the daily planet so why doesn't clark where glasses yet,when are we going to see him in the superman costume,how about the gang rape doomsday received.the only thing that saves smallvillle from being very shit is the ladies that are on the show.
i think i'd take smallville more serious if they said at the start of each episode that this was one of the fifty-two alternative earths that they keep mentioning in the crisis storylines,then i'd would know it isn't the same as the superman universe that i know & love.

anyway. So it is VERY DIFFERENT from

saeriously, why this show sucks soo much? why clark cant fly? why clark saved zod's life? why can zod fly in such a short time and clark cant? why is clark dating lois? why is this show so damn cheat and corny looking? why havent the cw canned this show and gave one to the green arrow? why did i even bother watching the last 30mins of smallville on friday?!?
