Fiancee and I had a meal at Musso & Frank's tonight and in the booth adjacent us were Steve Martin (who everyone wouldn't stop staring at! He would occasionally turn to 'goofy' smile at onlookers) and Zack Snyder, of Watchmen.

Didn't have the guts to say hello... Or even ask for a photo... But one can only assume they were discussing Superman. I guess. Who would Martin be? Perry? Anyway, the loin was good tonight at M&Fs.

Could be just two friends having a meal I guess.

Maggot.

Could be toy man. Or possibly could see him as Pa Kent. But I think toyman as a small cameo part could be fun. Kind of like how they did Scarecrow in TDK. or Morgan Edge.

@CBM Contributer- NICE FIND! I hope casting begins SOON, I wanna know who our new Superman will be, our last Supes was Chris Reeve so it's time we had a new SUPERMAN oh and I almost forgot Dean Cain and soon-to-be Tom Welling this season of Smallville...I don't think I'm forgetting any (lol). I have no problem with Steve Martin possibly being in the reboot, maybe as Perry would be good...ya i could see that.

I will keep tuned in to see our new Superman- HAMMBOOT!!

Nono. Steve They talked about the Eddie Murphy biography that will star Steve Martin as Eddie Murphy himself. It will be way better and bigger than Walk The Line. Obviously...

Tom Hanks for Eddie Murphy!

This guy doesn't below with in a million lightyears of a Superman movie. If he is in it, why not just throw the whole movie in the toilet and call it a night. I hope this is a very bad rumor.

This sounds like when that other guy was adjacent to Matthew Fox and Chris Nolan eating lunch, I feel an adjacent pattern going on.

Pa Kent, maybe? I still like Sam Elliott or Scott Glenn for that role. Maybe a small cameo? Maybe Perry. I don't think the guy is totally wrong for a role in The Man of Steel, but like Leee said, its not necessarily MOS related.
