AMAZON UK DESCRIPTION (Amazon U.S. listing to follow soon): "A definitive Superman collection. In Richard Donner's original blockbuster, the Superman myth is well told, from his birth on the doomed planet Krypton to his childhood in a small Kansas town and beyond. After he comes of age, young Clark Kent, as his Earth parents have named him, learns the truth of his alien birth on a voyage of discovery to the Arctic. It is there that he learns through a link to his long-dead birth parents of his superhuman abilities and his responsibility to preserve and protect truth, justice and the American Way. Once he adjusts to life in the big city, Metropolis, he discovers that hiding his superpowers as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent isn't easy as he flirts with hard-nosed Lois Lane and battles supervillain Lex Luthor. Also includes Superman II, III and IV - The Quest For Peace and Superman's latest adventure in Superman Returns, as Brandon Routh takes over the role immortalised by Christopher Reeve."

They love to release a supposed Ultimate Superman Collection Every few years. After this new trilogy (it will probably be a trilogy) is finished there will probably be some Super-Ultra-Spectacular-Special Edition Complete Combo Set that includes some random collector's item junk like a fake piece of kryptonite.

They should wait until there's more buzz around the new one.

Doesn't the fact that these movies are cheesy and crap mean anything? Is nostalgia that strong? The first movie is just about still watchable despite the cheese, but the 2nd is an absolute joke with fight scenes worse than the staged crap they have in so called professional wrestling! The 3rd is too stupid for revisiting once you've grown past 8 years old and the 4th is too embarrassing for words.

Why would you want to see any of this in high definition only to have those terrible effects exposed even further? Stick with your DVD's if you were crazy enough to buy them in the first place.

WB must be releasing the extended cut of Superman Returns around Man of Steel's release date. I want to see the extra footage.

Hmmm, they should throw in Supergirl to make for a complete package of theatrical productions. This then would complete the cycle of Supes and put it to rest. Then the new film would be marketed more clearly as its own.

They shouldnt have added superman returns and just called it "The Reeves collection" and then put it in a sic case and donate like $1 from every purchase to his charity.

Kind of an insult to include the Superman Returns fodder, to an otherwise cool collection, I won't be buying it, I have a shelf full of boxsets of boxsets lol

Useless without the Donner Cut...what's the point in leaving the best one out? Oh thats right because they didn't actually make the best one...imagine it wasn't a cut but the actual film allowed to become what it was meant to...eff u Warners!!

@SSDD Ah yes...no I knew that thinking back now. My mistake...Eff the Salkinds and Minus the Eff to Warners...hahaha. I think I recall seeing it in a documentary. Maybe on the Donner cut dvd as an extra...lol
