Bruce Willis looks absolutely ridiculous with that blonde hair. Him having hair in general just looks strange. Is this like a tv movie or something? Doesnt look like a major motion picture at all.

Movie....

Set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots, a cop (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others’ surrogates.

In the year 2054, people are using surrogates (remote-controlled artificial bodies) to interact with each other. But someone is determined to return people to their old lives instead of living through proxies. Venditti was inspired to write the 'Surrogates' after reading about numerous individuals who lost their spouses or their jobs due their addiction to the internet and their online personas. In an interview, he says: "It dawned on me that if you were somehow able to create a persona and send it out into the real world—where it could go to work for you, and run your errands, and so on—then you would never have to go back to being yourself."

I would say this is an absolutely rediculous idea - staying at home and having a robot live your life for you - but then again, isn't that basically reality these days. People would rather text to the same person for 5 hours rather than having the same conversation last only 5 minutes over the phone. Others are more worried about online multiplayer in videogames rather than actually having your friends in the same room with you, sitting on the same couch with you, and having to make actual real-life contact with another human being.

Sorry, I'm done now . . . . . it doesn't look like too bad of a movie.

I understand the idea. People are safe at home while their doubles go about in the real world. If you get hit by a car or fall off a roof, only the robot gets damaged. You stay alive. Then again, you get up to use the bathroom and you slip and crack your skull on the edge of the counter, that's irony. How would you use the bathroom anyway? Would your double just say "Excuse me" and then just pause in mid motion like a statue while you run to the toilet? I wonder if they'll have that in the movie? It will be just like playing video games ha ha. :P
