TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES Box Office Tracking Suggests The Animated Film Will Be A Success

DC's first theatrical outing of 2018 comes in the form of Teen Titans GO! To The Movies. Could the big-screen take on the popular cartoon series be the animated sleeper hit of the summer? Check it out...

In a year filled with superhero fare, it seems as though the hype around Teen Titans Go! to the Movies has been buried under the likes of Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 - but that doesn't mean the film won't be a hit.
Based on the popular television show on Cartoon Network, which was already a light-hearted reboot to the original before it, most fans are still on the fence about the animated feature. However, f
ollowing the positive reactions out of a VidCon fan screening last week, official industry tracking has been released for the adaptation and the film is expected to rake in around 14 million to 19 million over the course of its opening weekend.

Though that may sound small compared to 2018's other superhero offerings, keep in mind that this is a 2D animated film. Most adaptations like this have a production budget of around the mid 20 Million range. Anything above a 2x multiplier past its debut weekend would more than likely inch the film towards profitability.
