Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem's release is rapidly approaching, and a new clip from the movie puts the focus on Ice Cube's Superfly.

It's not exactly a secret that he'll be this movie's antagonist (alongside Baxter Stockman), but the villain proves surprisingly likeable in this latest sneak peek while introducing himself to his "cousins," the Heroes in a Half-Shell. Superfly also sheds new light on their origin story and while the teens seem happy to meet him, we're sure it won't be long before his true nature is revealed.

All signs point to this movie being a fun ride for longtime fans, and the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse-inspired animation style definitely appears to have resulted in a very unique take on these beloved characters.

For the first time, the franchise will also see the awesome foursome played by real teenagers with Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, and Brady Noon as Raphael.

Take a look at this new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem clip (via Toonado.com) in the players below.

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts.

Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

The stacked cast also includes Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, John Cena as Rocksteady, Jackie Chan as Splinter, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Seth Rogen as Bebop, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.

Directed by Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs. the Machines), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is set to be released in theaters on August 4, 2023.

Even though the movie looks meh to me - the animation is great so I’ll see it for that alone!

I like the animation style, it looks kinda like claymotion but with CG. the lighting helps a lot too, it's very classic Tim Burton-esque.

Best performance I’ve ever seen from Ice Cube

I’m impressed they made him look kid-friendly.

Ever since David Cronenberg’s The Fly, I am nothing less than terrified and disgusted by the thought of a mutant Fly monster

Rather than teenagers, they feel more like pre-teens and act like children where they feel they need to talk constantly and every-time they do is over the top of each other.

This movie has been growing on me to the point that the animation and art style for the mutants doesn't bother me as much as it used to at the start.

I'll be there next week to catch this!
