The MUTANT MAYHEM Continues In First TALES OF THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Teaser

The animation style may be a little different, but the Heroes in a Half-Shell are set to return in Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem spin-off show, and the first teaser is now online.

Cowabunga!

The first teaser trailer for Paramount+'s 2D animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem spin-off series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is now online, and it brings us up to speed with the fun-loving Heroes in a Half-Shell following the events of the critically-acclaimed movie.

It's a very brief promo, but it does give us a look at Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey facing off against some robots which could well turn out to be revamped versions of Baxter Stockman's Mousers.

We still know very little about this show, but it is expected to be set between the events of Mutant Mayhem and the planned sequel, which means there's a decent possibility we'll be following the boys as they attempt to adapt to life outside the sewer.

At the end of Mutant Mayhem, the Fearsome Foursome save the city from Superfly and are accepted into "normal" society, ditching their signature bandanas and enrolling in April O'Neil's high school.

The promo suggests that we will also follow the team as they return to the streets as shadowy vigilantes, but we wouldn't be surprised if this latest TMNT show went a slightly different route than fans have been used to seeing in earlier adventures.

Will the Shredder appear, perhaps? The Turtles' lethal nemesis did show up at the end of Mutant Mayhem, but we'd say the character will most likely be saved for the big-screen follow-up.

Check out the teaser below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

“After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”

Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon will voice the roles of Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael, respectively. The cast also includes Jackie Chan as Splinter, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.

Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs. the Machines) directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which is produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Did anyone here play Powerstone? I use to love that game when I was a kid. I wish they'd make a remaster or something.

This barely feels any better than that Rise of the TMNT show.

So many story possibilities and TMNT Universe Characters that could appear like Honeycutt, Renet, Casey Jones, Karai, The Rat King, Triceratons, etc. And seeing how the Turtles adapt to a high school setting!

As a TMNT fan since the original animated series, I am always excited to see new versions. My personal favourite movie is the first live action (1990) and my favourite series is the 03 one.
But I did quite enjoy Mutant Mayhem (reminded me of all the weird figures I had in the 90’s) more importantly my daughters really loves this new version and it’s gotten them interested in the Turtles 🐢 so I will definitely be watching this with them😁

The new turtles movie was like a step above Rise. But that’s not saying much. Thought the Rise movie was legit.

I’m still waiting for live action rendition like the ‘89 movie. The 2012 show was the best thing they’ve put out since then. Thought I’d hate it after the first few episodes, but it was a love letter to TMNT fans.

As a fan of the Turtles and liked the movie I'll keep up with this.

The art style and animation is close to Rise and also Moon Girl despite the fact that Flying Bark Productions is not involved with this. So I can only guess that this show's team is inspired by them.

Don't mind this iteration of the TMNT what so ever. I enjoyed Mutant Mayhem so was already invested for the series.

Rise is still the only adaptation I HATE with a passion, so as long as we never go back to that on any future adaptation is OK with me.
