CW's THE FLASH Grabs Yet Another Actor From The Original 90's Series

It's a reunion folks! Fellow CB site KSite TV has recently reported that "The Flash" 1990 alum, Vito D'Ambrosio, who portrayed Officer Tony Bellows on the classic series is set to join fellow co-stars John Wesley Shipp and Mark Hamill in the upcoming 17th episode. However, while D'Ambrosio's character keeps the same name as his original portrayal it seems the character has received something of an upgrade.

Once a hapless officer who confusingly identified his aging partner Murphy as being The Flash, Tony Bellows will now be the Mayor of Central City. It is unknown whether D'Ambrosio will share screen time with his fellow 90's series co-stars. D'Ambrosio involvement marks the fourth actor from the 1990 series to be cast in CW's take on The Flash, and the third to play the same character. Amanda Pays previously played Dr. Tina McGee in the episode "The Man in the Yellow Suit" while Mark Hamill is set to portray James Jesse aka The (original) Trickster.

CW has not yet released the title or air date for episode 17.

Catch The Flash, Tuesdays at 8PM on The CW.
