BARRY ALLEN COMES TO STARLING CITY — A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured. Michael Schultz directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns (#208).

yes, he looks skinny but I'm sure they are going to have him bulk up once he actually gets into the suit.

Looks good, he looks surprisingly older than I thought he'd wind up looking.

Can't wait for Flash pilot now

There's a small typo in the headline. It should read "First look at Grant Gustin as a junior at an exclusive liberal arts college in New England."

If the show is good I say make it a solid part of DCCU, i mean why not they are already playing catch up to marvel

And yeah, the Flash wouldn't be super-muscley. He shouldn't even be as muscular as Ollie, what with all the intense upper-body work he gets shooting arrows.

Anyway, has there been any indication that Barry will already have his powers when he appears on Arrow?

I can see him making a great Barry Allen/Flash on TV, but there's no way he'll be standing alongside Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in a Justice League movie. Looks waaaaay too young.

They need to decide if they will include this in the DC universe or not.

Reason being Superman actually would help transition this 'Grounded' take on the character to something far fetched with powers.

Of they just mentioned it, maybe when Ollie is doubting himself

Ollie: I can't be what this city needs either as a Queen or as a Vigilante
Diggle: But we're not just taking cities anymore, Ollie. First Starling City falls to a madman with a Earthquake machine, then a quarter of Metropolis is torn up in some sort of alien death match, and I ain't even gonna get into the rumours about Gotham.
Ollie: What's your point
Diggle: My point is Ollie, the world is changing...we thought you were the first, the only vigilante, doing something about the mis-justices in the world, but your weren't there are others out there...maybe seek them out should one day things become too big for one man to face...but I will tell you one thing: You won't be the first one of these people too quit, just because he felt a little self doubt.

Maybe not the best dialogue, but point is: It establishes the wider DC universe, a possible chance of a bigger threat, and the idea that he may need to seek them out rather than him be recruited personally.

Among many things, the speed force gives him muscle growth, I'm not saying he has to look like Henry Cavill in MoS, but he should add some mass to his frame.

Why would flash be jacked? makes no sense, he is not going to makes strong punches or anything, he is flash and the bigger he is the slower he will be, because at the speeds flash is running wind resistance counts a lot!

Everything looks fine to me....except the hair. Was it really so hard to make him slightly blonde?? Really?? That's like a defining trait of Barry Allen is his golden blonde short hair! Whatever. Looking forward to it anyway

Yeah I think DC/WB said they will see how this guy does as the Flash before they would even think or consider him on the big screen!
