'Jay Garrick' Cast In THE FLASH; 'Wally West' To Appear With 'Zoom' As Season's Big Bad

If you thought that The Flash couldn't get any more epic, think again! It was announced today at Comic-Con that Masters of Sex star Teddy Sears will be joining the cast of The CW series as Jay Garrick. In the show, Jay is described as a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop. It was also revealed that Shantel VanSanten (The Messengers) is going to play Patty Spivot, a police officer obsessed with metahumans and partners with Det. Joe West, but he has no idea that her new crush is the Flash. Also coming, but not yet cast, is Wally West (as was previously rumoured)

Zoom meanwhile has been confirmed as the main villain of season two, and based on the trailer below, it sounds like Tom Cavanagh will once again be suiting up to take on Barry Allen. We'll have to wait and see though as there are a lot of interesting hints about what's to come in the video below. In related news, it was also revealed that Hawkman is set to appear in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but there's no word on casting for that role just yet. What do you guys think?

I really hope Jay will be played by an older actor. I wonder if Tom Hanks still wants to play the Flash, if so I'd enjoy seeing him as Jay. I hope whoever they cast as Wally West will have red hair. Because there needs to be some awesome redheaded superheroes. I think it's nice they will show him this year, but I hope he doesn't gain powers until season 3 or 4. As for Zoom that will be cool seeing him and I wonder who else will be joining him to take on the Flash.

I understand it shows who will be playing him, but couldn't it be a flashback instead. This way you see what Jay had to go through when he was a kid until now. This would also allow for Jay to take Barry under his wing.

I didn't expect the flash to be so damn good. I'm trying my best to wait for next season. hopefully they drop Easter eggs for new characters so we can have even more new shows.

Was hoping Jay Garrick would've been a bit older, but hey, it's the CW... They gotta keep their cast sexy as hell. Men & Women that is

I hope to god that Jay is from an alternate universe. It would be weird just to introduce him all young and still be the mentor he is in the comics... although look what they did to wildcat... Man the JSA has just gone through a time machine in the CW verse.
