The only thing the suit needs to do is a slightly bigger logo with a white background, it would be perfect otherwise

You're right, the costume would work best with a skintight outfit like Supes or TASM. I'm hoping this show is around long enough for him to upgrade that costume.

I'm sure the suit will improve..

For the "character" to have designed this suit right off the bat, it's pretty darn good. I would assume it will only get better as the show progresses. Maybe Arrow will give him some advice on the custume since Barry gave him the mask

My guess is they are going with the leather look because he makes it very clear he looked up to arrow so a similar costume makes sense with his own twist to it.
Overall I'm ok with how it looks but hope they do adjust it as the show goes on.
