Stephen Amell Talks THE FLASH, Ezra Miller, and WB!

How does Stephen Amell feel about how WB handled the announcement of Ezra Miller on the heels of a great response to the Flash TV show?

Last night Arrow's Stephen Amell appeared on AMC Movie Talk host John Campea's "Arrow After Show". He took a few minutes to talk about his feelings about the DC Cinematic Universe and the Flash.

"<sighs> Oh, Boy...are we live?!? I thought that the way that Warner Brothers announce the slate of DC movies could have been handled better. And someone like Grant Gustin who has just launched an icon character like the Flash to record breaking numbers......should have been given a wider berth then 2 episodes before another actor was announce to play his character". Amell also went on to say " I have never seen a need for the television side and the feature side to cross over"

Ezra Miller will be an excellent Flash. I don't know where all the love for Grant has appeared from but I think he's okay.

LOL! You know some feelings are hurt, I am sure Amell is now realizing that his chances to star as Green Arrow in a major motion picture is over.

@Staypuffed

I agree I enjoy Grant but as well cannot hold a leading role in a major motion picture.

He's right about how they could have waited to announce ezra as flash but i don't see why they need to be crossed over, the shows are good because they have independence otherwise the quality of both shows will go down. plus he said he talked with geoff johns about this and came back smiling so CRISIS is a possibility.

He is lying his ass off. This is the same guy that stated multiple times that he should be in the Justice League. He is just hurt and pissy that the tv actors aren't being used for the films.

plus the DCCU hasn't even been built enough yet so we have a long way before they start tying the CWverse into the movies.

Couldn't it still happen in a "Crisis on Infinite Earths" scenario?

I think he's getting a little sick of people asking him about what he thinks about the feature films. I don't blame him.

He actually seemed the most butthurt about the timing and the whole episode 2 ratings...

I do love how he says tv is harder to do..im sure that ruffeled some feathers..

@Jollem Totally...he's not wrong either. He didnt say Miller would be a bad flash, just that he wishes Grant had gotten legs before this announcement...

Someone sounds a little pissed...

I have no doubt that Miller will do great in the role and Grant and Amell could come in a COIE movie and we all get what we want.

Oh and inb4 Dexter/Netman starts ranting for the millionth time.

Pedowitz said having a Flash TV series won't conflict with Warner Bros. and their plans for bringing the character to the big screen. Berlanti has cleared the potential series. "We're good to go. Greg [Berlanti] has spoken to them. There's no conflicts in any way shape or form," he said.

I really enjoy The Flash, but I have very high hopes for Ezra Miller when that comes around. It always amazed me that anyone was surprised the TV and Cinematic Universes wouldn't be connected because of the huge continuity errors.

But yeah, I can't fault Amell for being put off about this, as I would've enjoyed seeing him reprise the role. They all do really great work on their shows, and hopefully we'll get the chance for a Crisis storyline down the road.

Only the people who watch the shows are gonna have a problem but thats not a lot of people, and there are people who watch the shows and still want them seperate.

Dexter can at least write coherent sentences, and isn't homophobic. I could barely understand anything Netman said, but when I could I knew it was offensive.

Had a thought, not related to Arrow, but this is a WB article so might as well.
This is how dumb MoS is, consider the following:
The irresistible force paradox,What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? based on MoS? Nothing, why doesn't Superkill or Zuperkilled punches affect each other? Technically, Superman is not invulnerable, he can feel pain and pain can be inflicted upon him the reason he appears invulnerable is because nothing on earth seem to be strong enough to actually inflict pain or hurt him(Doomsday beat him to a pulp on earth.) Zod has the same powers, so it just makes sense to assume that if the "unstoppable force meets an immovable object" something ought to happen, but nothing does. Apparently Superman can break Zod's neck but not give him a black eye. superman should have looked like this after breaking Zod's neck

but instead it turns out that getting punched repeatedly only causes your teeth to get crooked

just a thought, good night.

Amell acts like the film division purposefully made their announcement to get at the TV people. For one Amell, it was the CEO at the annual stock market meeting. I highly doubt ticking off the TV people were on his mind. Two, no TV person got ticked at the move guys.
