Ezra Miller and Max Charles as Barry Allen/The Flash
After being doused in chemicals and then being struck by lightning, forensic scientist, Barry Allen, was granted the gift of super speed. Barry then became The Flash, the fastest man alive. Drawing his energy from the Speed Force, Barry protects the citizens of his hometown Central City, and is also a founding member of the Justice League. Barry is a key part to his Universe because after changing the time stream for the worst, he saved it and changed things back to the way they were more or less.

Reason for Casting: Since it's confirmed Ezra will be our new Flash there's no room for my reason. So instead I'll defend the studio's choice in Miller to be The Flash. Ezra is seriously one of the most talented young actors today, playing dramatically different characters in each of his films such as Perks of Being a Wallflower and We Need to Talk About Kevin. Max Charles would ideally play the character as a child.

Marisa Tomei as Nora Allen
Nora Allen was the wife of Doctor Henry Allen and mother of Barry Allen (Flash) and. She was murdered by Professor Zoom to hurt Barry, but Henry was found guilty due to a lack of evidence and died in prison.

Reason for Casting: Tomei is such a gifted actress, you may know her best as the stripper from The Wrestler but Tomei has many great films to her credit including Love is Strange, A Brother's Kiss and The Lincoln Lawyer. Tomei will be fully able to portray Nora's love of Barry and make her death that much more impactful.

Clive Owen as Henry Allen
Husband of Nora Allen and father of Barry Allen (Flash), Henry was falsely imprisoned for the murder of his wife Nora and spent the rest of Barry's childhood in prison due to lack of evidence. Barry regularly visits his father, believing him to be innocent. Henry's imprisonment is the reason for Barry's hatred towards The Reverse Flash.

Reason for Casting: Owen is a very renowned actor known for his roles in films such as Children of Men, Inside Man, and Croupier. Owen is a great choice to play Barry's moral compass and a man wrongfully accused of killing his wife.

Emily Osment as Patty Spivot
Patty Spivot was a forensic blood analyst in the Central City Police Department Crime Lab. She worked as assistant to Barry Allen. Patty Spivot works for the Central City Police Department as head of Blood Analysis. After two years of working alongside Barry Allen, he finally asks her out on a date.

Reason for Casting: A Flash film that jumps directly into Iris West as his girlfriend would be a little unrealistic and disrespectful to one of the most underused Flash characters in Patty Spivot. Spivot has a role in Flashpoint and Osment is a promising young actress, being in the Spy Kids films since she was a small child and eventually showing up in the critically acclaimed From Up on Poppy Hill.

Chris Pine as Eobard Thawne/Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash
Eobard Thawne was born in the 25th century, and eventually became the second Reverse Flash. His powers are similar to those of Barry Allen's (The Flash). However, while The Flash's powers come from his ability to tap into the Speed Force, Reverse Flash's come from his ability to tap into the negative speed force, which causes destruction. He also goes by the name Professor Zoom. He is best known for being the archenemy of Barry Allen, as well as murdering Barry's mother and his true love, Iris West.

Reason for Casting: Many people wanted Pine to be our Flash but since that isn't the case I think it would be really cool to see Pine in the villainous role of Professor Zoom, the archenemy of Barry Allen that grew up in the future idolizing him. Pine's somewhat villainous take in Horrible Bosses 2 and proving he's a good character actor in Into The Woods gives me enough confidence to have him as the true evil in Barry Allen's life.

Shailene Woodley as Iris West
A tough-as-nails journalist from Central City, who has a long and complicated history with Barry Allen. Barry is now in a relationship with Patty Spivot but seems to still harbor feelings for Iris.

Reason for Casting: Woodley has a very rare trait in most Hollywood actresses today and that is she is able to make us believe she cares deeply for the person her character is in a romantic relationship with on-screen. She did it with Ansel and it worked well. That trait goes hand in hand with her being a great actress appearing films such as The Spectacular Now and The Descendants.

Nolan Gould as Bart Allen/Kid Flash
Hailing from the 30th century, Bart Allen is the grandson of the Flash, Barry Allen. Utilizing the same powers, of super-speed, possessed by his Grandfather, Bart fights crime alongside the Teen Titans as Kid Flash. Appearing only for a second, Barry is under the impression Bart is the product of his future children of him and Patty instead of him and Iris.

Reason for Casting: Gould is a great comedic actor at the young age of 16, impressing on Modern Family and being one of the few bright spots in Friends with Benefits, Gould is good for a cameo or possibly a substantial role in future films as the future grandson of the Scarlet Speedster.

Brad Pitt as Jay Garrick/Flash
Jason Peter "Jay" Garrick is the original, Golden, Age, super-speedster, and was the first to have the mantle of the Flash and a founder of the Justice Society of America. It was Jay Garrick's legendary heroics that inspired Barry Allen. Currently Jay Garrick resides on Earth-2 as that world's version of The Flash.

Reason for Casting: Big Men, Selma, 12 Years a Slave, Moneyball, The Normal Heart, The Tree of Life, Inglourious Basterds are just some of the brilliant films Pitt has been apart of. Playing Barry's predecessor would be no challenge to Pitt. He's played an old withering man before so why would this be no different? Instead now he's a legendary withering old man that gives advice to Barry through the dimensions and allows Barry to see his future in the Flash Museum.

Jake T. Austin as Wally West/Kid Flash/Flash
Taking on the name Kid Flash in honor of his uncle Barry "Flash" Allen, Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West would eventually become The Flash after the death of his mentor. Wally was an original member of the Teen Titans, a member of the JLA and the fastest man alive even among his fellow speedsters.

Reason for Casting: Austin showed promise even as a child actor on the Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place and continues to show his acting chops on the ABC drama series The Fosters, Being a continually progressive actor with a lot of charisma to his credit I think he could portray Wally West in whatever context the film could bring in the character whether it be a glimpse of the future of an alternate timeline in which Barry never became the Flash and Iris's nephew took over.

Matthew Goode as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold
Leonard Snart is a blue collar criminal who has dubbed himself Captain Cold. He is an honorable villain in the fact that he has a strong moral code that he and his team mates must follow. Captain Cold is the leader of the group of villains known as 'The Rogues'.

Reason for Casting: Shining in films like The Imitation Game and The Lookout, Goode has shown much more prowess than actually needed to play the leader of the Rogues in Captain Cold, arguably the second most known villain of the speedster, Cold will need a convincing actor to play off or exaggerate the campiness of the character.

Iwan Rheon as Mark Mardon/Weather Wizard
Mark Mardon is a particularly disturbed super villain that uses his Weather-Wand to control the weather and other natural phenomena. He is one of the prominent members of the illustrious group of Flash villains known as "The Rogues".

Reason for Casting: As Rheon has shown on GOT he can be quite intimidating as a character and I think that type of acting ability should be brought to a character that's usually forgotten by general audiences like Weather Wizard. Casting a great actor would do wonders for the character since DC already missed their chance to get a great actor for Captain Boomerang.

Tom Wilkinson as the voice/mo-cap of Gorilla Grodd
Gorilla Grodd is a super intelligent, telepathic, anthropomorphic gorilla. A deadly opponent to all of the champions of good, Grodd is most well known for his rivalry with The Flash.

Reason for Casting: Wilkinson is known for being in pretty much every movie ever even if you don't notice him off the bat. He's been in MI:Ghost Protocol, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Selma, The Ghost Writer and Batman Begins. Wilkinson ideally would provide for the genius Grodd and also bring his superiority complex to life with the use of motion capture.

Ben Foster as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
One of the Flash's greatest enemies, Heat Wave is usually a member of the Rogues. He has tried to reform but could not control his pyromania and often competes with Captain Cold for Leadership.Heat Wave eventually decided to be good after the events of Underworld Unleashed. He began working as a firefighting consultant, using his knowledge of heat and flames from his former criminal career.Still struggling with his pyromania, he began working for the F.B.I. alongside other reformed rogues

Reason for Casting: Foster is seriously in my mind the perfect choice for this role. He is one of the best actors working today with movies like The Laramie Project, The Messenger and 3:10 to Yuma all on his impressive filmography. His chops have shown he can play a character like this with no problem.

Emmy Rossum as Dr. Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
In the New 52, Killer Frost is a woman by the name of Dr. Caitlin Snow. Originally a S.T.A.R. Labs research scientist in the Arctic, she gained her powers when H.I.V.E tried to kill her inside a thermodynamic engine.

Reason for Casting: Rossum is seriously one of the most talented actresses working and I her talents and range could be well used in a character like Killer Frost who's first introduced as a genius scientist for STAR Labs and later becomes a prominent member of the Flash's rogues gallery.

Well everyone, hope you enjoyed my latest fancast, this time featuring a character I've never done in the form of The Flash.  And as you'd expect here is a random GIF to keep you guys company until next time!

Still nothing "official" about Ezra playing anything other than "The Flash". The director who hasn't even touched the movie "thinks" they "may" do the Barry Alleb story...but one would assume WB isn't even that dumb. My issue with this fancast (besides some of the unfavorable choices) is the fact that besides Patty (who was mentioned) and a few speedsters who have been alluded to on The Flash. You didnt cast anyone who has not appeared on the show....despite the fact that there are plenty of charcters who haven't been on the show -which makes you seem like a fan of the show casting the movie and not a fan of the character(s) casting the movie.

@Arrowverse
I'm just asking as a fan now, but when was Patty mentioned? Also I couldn't be sure these characters appeared since I'm only halfway through the first season.

Not bad, but Nolan Gould is a horrendous actor. There's surely someone better out there for the role.

Really like this fan cast!
Although after seeing Shailene in Woodley, I think she suits a more physical hero rather than a love interest

Love the cast man! Excellent stuff.

I think Osment kinda sucks and I'm not a huge fan of your Wally or Bart choices but the rest is excellent.

Goode and Rheon as Cold and WW is perfection.
