Warner Bros. has come under fire this week after releasing a TV spot for Shazam! Fury of the Gods revealing that [SPOILER ALERT!] Gal Gadot makes a cameo appearance as Wonder Woman in the sequel.
Even director David F. Sandberg expressed disappointment about the baffling marketing decision, and it feels a lot like the studio has reached "Please come and watch this movie!" levels of desperation after dismal box office projections for its opening weekend. Now, one of The Flash's big cameos has been spoiled by officially released Funko Pop figures.
As you can see below, Wonder Woman will also be making her presence felt in the Scarlet Speedster's first solo outing, but sadly not for any sort of adaptation of what we saw from the hero in the Flashpoint comic book.
We've heard that Diana Prince shows up in an early action sequence alongside Ben Affleck's Batman so, honestly, we're surprised that warrants a figure!
Aside from that, Michael Keaton's battle-damaged Caped Crusader is showcased, and it seems the cat is officially out of the bag when it comes to Dark Flash being The Flash's villain. That sequence with the Fastest Man Alive saving a bunch of babies certainly looks like it could be fun, anyway!
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The Flash races into theaters on June 16.
