Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Barry (Grant Gustin) and team race to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters, Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée) and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Tonight's episode was nasty. I literally screamed when Zoom nearly killed Barry. So far this season is miles ahead of the first one.

I thought the episode was slow but the last 15 min zoom is the scariest villain I have seen in movies or tv

Zoom's voice is a little over the top but the way he held the Flash up by the neck for everyone to see was pure comic book goodness.

Where this show excels is the villains. Yeah some are corny(captain cold) but others are so spectacular (reverse flash, grodd, king shark, and now freaking Zoom) imo it's the best cbm tv show because of the great villains

And too, Tom Cavanaugh is simply one of the best actors on tv. The way he plays Wells is simply fascinating.

Zoom, in that appearance alone, was one of the MOST TERRIFYING VILLIANS on a cbtv show I've seen. This show just keeps elevating their villians

I hope the dccu will take notes what dc has is great villains. Best season of scandal shows where showcased by villains they can not screw up joker,lex,sinestro,black manta and all the great villains they do them well we will have a great set of movies.

Here is how it works. When Eddie shot himself he was sucked up into the singularity. Eobard is still alive somewhere, he was never erased from existence. My guess is that he's either trapped on another Earth, dimension or stuck in the speed force world. Leaving it open for the return of the Reverse Flash.

Eddie was sucked into the singularity before it had the chance to become a portal between worlds. The singularity was constructed using speed force energy and most likely contains the same elements released from the particle accelerator. Eddie was transformed into Zoom, being corrupted by the energy. He was stuck in nothingness, no time, no space.

When the particle accelerator exploded on Earth 2, it gave Eddie the opportunity to use it's energy to break through. Because he was stuck in nothingness the concept of time became fluid and he went through and ended up in the past of Earth 2. He then became the villain known as Zoom.

This would explain why Eddie would know that Barry dated Linda Park, why he knows who the Flash is on Earth 1, and why he's so desperate to kill him.

When Eddie saw the singularity open, he remembered the same singularity that opened on Earth 1, the one that sucked him in. He then waited and realized what it meant to go through it. It would lead him back home, to the Flash.

Earth 2 has a highly successful particle accelerator, an elevated train, a prickish Harrison Wells, Jessie Quick, a criminal Linda Park, 2 year old experienced Flash, Robert Queen Arrow, North/South American war, a land level Atlantis (Aquaman!), 1960s themed fashion, Zoom, and a destroyed CCPD

all in the first 6 episodes

Also, the reason why I thin Eobard is alive is because if Eobard died or was wiped away from existence, then that means that he never went back in time. he never killed Barry's mother, he never killed and became Harrison Wells, and he never made the Flash. Therefore the entire world and timeline should have changed...Though it didn't. It's a crazy paradox!

Zoom has been Eddie since before the season started. It's been pretty clear since we all saw Eddie's body go into the wormhole, he would become a speedster.

Zoom is basically gonna be the Slade Wilson of Flash. Former friend (Eddie and Barry, Slade and Oliver) turned enemy (Zoom, Deathstroke) because his mind has gone insane (Eddie with speedforce perhaps, Slade with Mirakuru).

I mean shit it's spelled out there folks. Zoom isn't Barry or Henry. We had Earth 2 metas kill their Earth 1 counterparts. How would Zoom have powers if Barry and Henry are alive.

Zoom's Eddie. We've known this and it will be epic.
