Over on YouTube, user "misterbigmouth" has posted a video claiming to be "early game footage from the cancelled Flash video game...

"When our publisher Brash folded we were about 6 months into full production with about a year still to go on the game so please excuse the roughness of how it looks at this stage.

A lot of the core elements were just starting to surface and we were all really saddened that the game couldn't be saved. It was showing much potential."



While there is no way to confirm whether the footage is real or whether it may have had anything to do with the rumoured The Flash movie, which could mean that DC may still have big plans for the character at least in the world of video games!

I don't think it's dc online, because you can't play as actual dc characters in that game. Besides it looks like it was meant for xbox play, due to the different action symbols.

LEE: lol! the game still might be picked up by another developer or publisher - maybe DC will save it for the when the movie comes out though - if a Flash movie is only a few years away it might make more sense for them to hold on and make it a movie tie-in! Hell, maybe with the extra time it'll end up being a decent game unlike most movie game tie-ins!

It looks awesome though - it would be cool if they released a polished version of this as an acrcade type game on PSN and X-Box Live - sort of like Sonic but with The Flash obviously! :)

I believe this is real, no way u could finish this much graphics even in 24hrs with this much detail.

I just ordered a pair of BAPE Flash trainers, a BAPE Flash T-shirt along with a cool Flash costume/hoodie..

The Flash is awesome and this video is awesome.. Seems a bit like a cross betweem Mirror's Edge/Sonic

This is footage from DCU Online (DC Universe) it is coming out for PS3&PC it is a MMO and is supposed to be going head to head with XBOX 360, which will be lauching Champions first quarter 2010. And yes I Champions is out for PC but that is just a extended beta for the most part. Both PS3 & XBOX are tring to break into the MMO market for console at the same time with diff Comic based MMOs

A Flash game has real potential! Just like the movies do!

I'd love to see Michael Rosenbaum do the voice for Flash in a game. He was perfect in the shows, and I reckon he would be a good Wally in live action as well!

@KnG I highly doubt that this is game footage from DCUO... The landscape looks similar but there are two problems:

1. You can't play as the actual DCU characters in DC Universe Online.

2. The PS3 doesn't have "Y" or "B" buttons, that's Xbox, and DCUO was built from the ground up for the PS3 (and then the PC).

LEE: Thanks man! :D Its just a prototype right now - Im trying to include the DC logo in there as well as the word "news" but i just have MS Paint which is pretty basic, lol! Oh, and I just finished Season 2 of Dexter - its definitely one of the greates shows ever made! Glad I took your advice and checked it out!

What were people saying about Flash not being an interesting movie to see? With the right computer-aided graphics and imagination, this will blow the competition of their hinges as a movie! I love the sonic booms, all time but Flash slo-mos, power leaps, combo moves...it was just how I would have envisioned it. It only needed the obvious final touch-ups.

Hope the movie will be set around Barry Allen (Hal Jordan= GL, Barry= THE FLASH).
