The Scarlet Speedster Heads Into Action In Clip From THE FLASH Season 1, Episode 1; "Pilot"

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, The Flash will premiere on the CW on October 7th! The pilot was well-received after being shown at this year's San Diego Comic-Con (as well as by fans who managed to get their hands on a leaked copy a little while before that), and with Captain Cold, Firestorm and more all coming to Central City, this one will be well worth keeping an eye on!

I've pretty much avoided any trailers the last couple months to keep some things fresh. I've also heard the Arrow premiere connects to the Flash pilot. There will be a "This season on the Flash" trailer at the end of tomorrow's episode.

WOW! That suit looks really good on screen. The set photos don't do it justice. I'd still prefer it's just a season 1 prototype though.

Great visual effects, but the dialogue was really corny.

I read "Scarlet Spider", got excited, then got depressed.

It's hard being a Spidey fan from the 90's. :)
