Usain Bolt Would Be Game For A Cameo In THE FLASH Movie
The fastest man at the last three Olympics is looking forward to his post-athletic career and would be down to cameo in a superhero movie, particularly in the DCEU's upcoming live-action Flash movie.
Imagine a scene in The Flash movie where news coverage or talk shows sought an expert opinion on the Scarlet Speedster? Who better to turn to than Usain Bolt? An appearance in The Flash movie by Bolt would have been very plausible had Rick Famuyiwa stayed aboard the project as he recently directed Usain Bolt in a Gatorade commercial. However, with the director's chair on The Flash currently vacant, who knows whether cameras are even still slated to roll at some point later this year...
ABOUT THE FLASH MOVIE
One of the earliest DCEU films announced, the project appears to be in a spot of trouble as it has now lost two directors due to creative differences, first Seth Grahame-Smith and later Rick Famuyiwa.
Nevertheless, Ezra Miller's Barry Allen will play a prominent role in 2017's Justice League after a cameo in appearance in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He'll be joined by Kiersey Clemons, who has been cast to play Iris West. Just before Famiyuwa's departure, Watchmen actor Billy Crudup was cast to play Barry's father, Henry Allen.
Filming on the solo Flash movie had been slated to begin in January at the Pinewood London backlot before it lost its director. Now, the prevailing though is that the film will be pushed to a later date and Ben Affleck's Batman movie will occupy its 2018 release date.
