THE FLASH Director Shares A First Look At Sasha Calle's SUPERGIRL Costume Via New Logo Tease

The Flash director Andy Muschietti continues to share teasing logo reveals to his Instagram, and this latest image provides a first look at the costume Sasha Calle will don as the DCEU's new Girl of Steel.

Andy Muschietti has previously shared a bloody logo for Michael Keaton's Batman and the new design for The Scarlet Speedster's suit, and the director has now taken to Instagram to give us a first glimpse of the costume Sasha Calle's Supergirl will don in The Flash.

The overall design seems to be in-keeping with Henry Cavill's Man of Steel suit, but there are a few alight alternations to Kara's classic comic book costume. Most notably, the red starts before the chest emblem ends and appears to continue back around the shoulders - though it's obviously difficult to tell for sure without seeing a full shot.

Muschietti has been generous with these logo reveals so far, so let's hope they continue. We may even get a proper look at some of the characters as filming continues, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates.

Christina Hodson wrote the The Flash's script, with Michael Disco and Marianne Jenkins on board as executive producers. Plot details are still under wraps, but the story is expected to be at least partially influenced by the Flashpoint comic book arc.

In addition to Calle, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen and Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as their respective takes on Batman, Kiersey Clemons will reprise the role of Iris West, and Zack Snyder's Justice League star Ray Fisher recently indicated that there was still a chance he could appear as Cyborg (we seriously doubt that happens at this stage).

The Flash is currently shooting in The UK, and is scheduled to race into theaters on November 4, 2022.

I miss the old school logo.

The curve at the end differs a bit from the MOS logo.

@BlackBeltJones - I just noticed the differences and I love them. They kept the squiggly Kryptonian lines in the center of the S swoosh, and I appreciate that consistency, as well as the very deliberate color choices to mimic the Cavill suit, but I love the new addition of the SUPER bright red. It's giving me vibes of all the things I actually loved about the Amazing Spiderman suit mixed with Henry's suit.

Can't wait to see more.

@ElricReturns - the red above looks really good to me.

Nice differentiation from her cousin.

@BlackBeltJones - it kind of backfired on me because it made me think they were doing Clark’s son Jonathon. Super girl is fine I guess

I love the logo reveals. Hope we get more unexpected logos. Maybe a certain black and red bat symbol. 🤓

Seems to at least be remaining in soft continuity with Justice League (probably Josstice League) so that’s cool

Glad it’s still the MOS style shield. Wonder if the red on top is because she won’t have a cape?

@Twenty23Three - In fact, the upper part of the logo reminds me of this suit. And it doesn't have a cape either.

@Repian - I can definitely see that work

@Repian - I’ve always liked the idea of a long coat like design replacing a cape. After the Matrix they kind of used coats as pre-cape capes in Smallville.

@Twenty23Three - I hated that on Smallville. It might be odd, but I absolutely LOVE heroes with capes.

Cape FLAPPIN!!!

@Repian - Kinda makes it look like a priest frock. Like what Neo wore in the Matrix sequels.

@ElricReturns - oh don’t get me wrong. I’m capes all the way. I just thought it was a neat way to have something almost capes without having capes. I am a big fan of a big coats in general though. Always a cool look I could never pull off haha

So either the leaks aren't accurate or they're not commiting to doing anything with the Burtonverse. I hope it's the former, if it means a more Flash-centric movie.

I like how MOS-like it is, wets my appetite for more Cavill Superman.

@4thMaster - how does a pic of Supergirl’s suit have anything to do with whether or not the Burtonverse is being utilized? The answer is that it doesn’t.

@4thMaster - They are likely not going to go with one universe's look. They will show each to pay respect to those universes.

bkmeijer2 - 6/19/2021, 2:19 AM
@4thMaster - my guess is the first act is on the current DCEU, the second in the Burtonverse, and the third on a new Earth (where this Supergirl is from). Doubt they commit a whole movie to the Burtonverse
4thMaster
4thMaster - 6/19/2021, 5:34 PM
@McMurdo @JonC @bkmeijer - The leaks pointed to her being the Burtonverse Superman, not from a 3rd Earth.

@4thMaster - wait, are the leaks actually from? Don't tell me its those WGTC leaks, because thats probably just clickbait

@bkmeijer - Not sure, somebody summarized them in a Reddit post, but I don't remember the source.

I kinda was expecting this to be the next reveal. I'm guessing a Batfleck suit logo reveal is next.

Looking forward to full costume reveals.
