With The Flash around six months away from arriving in theaters, we're expecting Warner Bros. to start the marketing campaign relatively soon. In the meantime, a new poster and promo art has found its way online, offering a closer look at the Scarlet Speedster in action...or should that be Scarlet Speedsters

We've known for a while now that the movie will feature two versions of Barry Allen, and we get to see them race into action together here.

Look closely, and you'll notice the second Flash is wearing a repurposed Batsuit. That pretty much confirms a recent plot leak, and it's certainly an interesting take on the hero. It's also one director Andy Muschietti hinted at a long time ago when he shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Michael Keaton's Batman costume with The Flash's logo on it.

With James Gunn and Peter Safran now calling the shots at the newly formed DC Studios, it's unclear what the future holds in store for Barry beyond The Flash. Given Ezra Miller's ongoing legal issues, we know they're unlikely to continue playing this hero, but it would be a terrible shame for the Fastest Man Alive to be sidelined.

1917 star George MacKay is rumoured to be the frontrunner to take over the role, though that was prior to Gunn and Safran boarding the DCU. If The Flash is being recast, we're sure they'll have their own ideas about who should take over the role.

Either way, this movie could bring the "DCEU" era of storytelling to a close rather than setting up a Crisis on Infinite Earths event as Warner Bros. originally planned. Miller recently took part in reshoots, and we wouldn't be at all surprised if the movie now has a completely different ending.

The Flash is set to be released in theaters on June 23, 2023.

They could recast with Woody Allen at this point and it would still be LESS problematic.

Huh. I was really hoping that the second suit would be an orange jumpsuit.

Have you guys been under a rock? It's a modified 89 Batsuit. It was like, the first shot they teased 2 years ago.

"Chronobubble"?

Not Metaverse or Hypertime or even Divine Continuum... I'll bet one of those terms would have done just fine, but then they don't read the comics do they?

@ObserverIO - I couldn't read it for the life of me, thought it said "Chronobowl"

@ObserverIO - haha no problem, to be fair "chronobubble" is even less absurd

Movie has taken so long to actually come out, even before all the Ezra controversy, the multiverse has no new appeal to the GA. I'm really really interested to see how this fares.

I hope Keaton will be a highlight

Who cares at this point? This movie is going to tank. Ezra should be behind bars. RECAST!

@76cidgrad - I am truly surprised that they hadn’t recast by now. Pretty confident any other studio would’ve.

@Arthorious - It was already way too late in the production process when all the Ezra stuff started happening, they couldn't afford to recast and reshoot all of Ezra's scenes. They will release this movie with Ezra instead and it will be Ezra's last appearance as flash.

They very well could have filmed additional scenes for the end of the movie to retcon Ezra out for future Flash appearances though.

Should be used for Halloween promotional material. A groomer running at you lightning speed! So scary😳

Imagine a parent buying this for their little girls or boys room😐?

WB is awful.

Really hope to see more of Calle and Keaton in the promo material instead

I think it was rumored that 2 flashes visit batman. One who traveled back in time and the one in the past who hasn't got his powers as yet. Maybe batman recreates the circumstances for the powerless one to get his powers in the cave like in Flashpoint.

@hue66 - not rumored. It was in the teaser.

For the record, I've been saying "don't make a flash movie" for the last 10yrs but did anyone listen to me.

@billnye69 - Yeah, too bad the executives of DC/WB didn't take you seriously, man. Things could have been completely different with the DCEU if only those guys would pay attention to the opinion of one single fan.

That's three Ezra Millers too many.
