More promo art for The Flash has been released, this time teasing the role Batman (Michael Keaton) and Supergirl (Sasha Calle) will play in proceedings, with the latter clearly not at full power here...

Another round of promo art for The Flash has found its way online, this time teasing Batman and Supergirl's respective roles in the movie. While Ben Affleck will suit up as the Caped Crusader again, Michael Keaton is getting the lion's bat's share of screentime, somehow finding himself in the new reality created by the Fastest Man Alive's trip back in time.

As for the Girl of Steel, Sasha Calle has been cast as the hero, with the original plan for her to permanently replace Henry Cavill's Superman in the DCU.

Things have changed since then, of course, though we do hope she'll be sticking around based on what we've seen.

Both Batman and Supergirl are teased in the promo art below, with one t-shirt from Brazil's CCXP event offering some fresh intel on The Flash's leads. It describes them as, "two idiot kids, a retired vigilante and a half charged solar powered alien."

Some fans are sure to roll their eyes that both versions of The Flash will (still) be idiots in this movie, especially as that's a far cry from how Barry Allen is portrayed on the page. Batman being retired isn't a surprise, though we now know that Supergirl won't be at full power when we meet her here. That's a good way to ensure she doesn't just lay waste to the movie's mystery big bad.

That's still expected to be Michael Shannon's General Zod, with no apparent plans for Reverse-Flash to appear despite him being an obvious choice of villain for this story.

The Flash is set to be released in theaters on June 23, 2023.

I don't mind the "two idiot kids" description, as it makes sense that as smart as Barry is, he can be very impulsive (as seen by the entirety of Flashpoint). I can see an old Michael Keaton calling him an idiot kid

@DannRamm113 - I don't know if saving his mother from a murder that has haunted him his entire life could be called 'impulsive'.

@DannRamm113 - Same thing I was thinking. In fact he’s already been shown as being highly intelligent in JL

@ObserverIO - yeah but the crux of the story is "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Its shown that messing with the timeline has a lasting effect. In fact, the line at the end of the Flashpoint adaptation says it best

@DannRamm113 -
The "two idiot kids, retired vigilante, and half-charged solar powered alien" is a quote from Muschietti during a DC Fandome interview.

Ah, I see we are already at the point of the marketing team not even using Ezra’s face.

Barry Allen was never some idiot kid. Quite the opposite, actually. Like c’mon, this man is a contemporary of Superman and Batman.

Josh says he hopes Supergirl sticks around “based on what we’ve seen”.

What HAVE we seen of her other than an unfinished costume in set photos? Honestly not a fan of the costume design. Hoping they touch it up a ton in post-production.

As for Josh’s attempts at humor with play on words… he will never stop 🙄
