As filming of Thor: The Dark World continues in Surrey, England, a few new photos of Chris Hemsowrth on set, some Asgardian warriors and possibly even a blonde Zachary Levi as Fandral have found their way online. Hit the jump to check them out!

As you can see, there's nothing terribly exciting here just yet as they prepare for filming, but the second and third photos seemingly include Zachary Levi - or at least a stuntman - as Fandral (notice the blonde haired actor dressed in a blue costume similar to what you would expect to see the member of the Warriors Three in). I am really liking what I am seeing from this movie. I've said all along Thor, has the most potential of the Marvel owned characters to make incredibly epic movies. I was a little disappointed with Thor because I felt it squandered some great opportunities. These photos have a very LOTR, Game of Thrones vibe to them that I am really digging.

Not sure could that be Fandral. He could just be one of the soldiers of Asgard or the two fighting Kingdoms they were talking about.

Naaah, bottom guy isn't Fandral. That's probably just one of the random soldiers from the opposing army with his helmet off. Even has the black eye make-up...

...heh, could just be that normal guy's hair & beard :P

Yea, the bottom one isn't Fandral. Why would an Asgardian wear that? And Fandral uses a rapier if I am correct, and that sir, is not a rapier....not even close.

The picture posted above with the guy in the green though certainly looks the part though.

Digging the Game Of Thrones/LOTR feel to things. The first one felt a little too sci fi, so glad to see fantasy brought into it more.

The 2nd and 3rd pictures, guy in green, that is definitely Fandral.

The last picture, that is some other character. Looks like Charlie Hunnam though. Balder perhaps? Or just another Asgard soldier.

And not just too much sci-fi, too much CGI-sci-fi. Like the first 3 Star Wars films; too clean, unrealistic and boring.

"Notice the blonde haired actor dressed in a blue costume ..." Yeah, that's actually a shade of green, for those of us who aren't color blind. The lining fabric on Thor's loin cloth is blue. Fandral's coat and pants are green.

Hey I don't watch Game of Thrones, can anyone tell me what the battle scenes are shot like? I mean can you see what's going on? 'Cause of this looks epic, but if it's edited together with a shaky cam and a bunch of half second shots, I'm really not gonna like it.

Well the thing is that in Game of Thrones there are not many battle scenes... Pretty much everything happens off camera, as in the books. Everyone praises the battle of Blackwater, the biggest battle in the first two seasons, but they had to cut it drastically from the book.

SentinelofLiberty: Doesn't seem like so. The guy's been spotted in some images, too, previously; and while some also suspected him to be Heimdall, he's clearly not Idris Elba.

I don't think it's his double, either, because...well, Heimdall has his post, and the armor/helmet look way different. It's too "regular soldier"-ish to be Heimdall's, IMO.

@SentinelofLiberty If you rewatch Thor, the guards are all wearing helmets similar to that. So i'm sure that guy is just one of the Asguardian Guard/Army.

Heimdall Helmet and armor is very different from that.

People, this is just one setting for the film. It's not like the whole movie is going to focus on this one village and battle. Not all the realms have the advanced technology that Asgard has.
