New Thor TV Spot: "Only One Is A God" (Low Res)

New Thor TV Spot: "Only One Is A God" (Low Res)

This new spot for Marvel's Thor features a glimpse of some of the other Avengers! Unfortunately it's only in low res form at the moment so you may not want to watch until we have the higher quality version..

Plus, just by way of some extra info, film critic James Marsh has tweeted the following..

Just saw 20mins of THOR, looked encouraging. Was mostly character/comedy stuff rather than action but included Stan Lee's cameo + one other!

And then..

Didn't realize Scarlett Johanssonn has signed on for 8 Marvel movies! Guess that means she'll have to be in THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA.

Is that confirming the "other" cameo in Thor is Black Widow? I have no idea, but there you go.

Many thanks to TorturedXGenius for the quick record and upload.

Thor will be with us in no time at all folks. May 6th is just around the corner:)

I like how they showed the avengers, pretty awesome for a TV spot, there really ramping up the marketing for this movie which is good, hopefully it does really well. Can't wait 29/4/11

Looks pretty cool like how they added IM, Hulk ,and Fury.

Very smart move. They incorporate the other movies into it for the casual viewer to recognize.

THOR looks to be a good film. It will most likely reign supreme until the next big MARVEL film. And ironically, that film will also feature THOR.

Looks good. I can't wait to see it on the big screen I just hope we dont have "A Tragedy" (which is when a movie that lookes good ends up being horrible)

Wow, brilliant way of connecting IM & TIH to Thor! :D

I pity all the people (mainstream audiences) that are completely unaware of the existence of the MCU, or the fact that The Avengers will Assemble in 2012...

Post-credits to Iron Man 2:
- Me: "Holy [frick], MJOLNIR!!!"
- Random person a few rows below me: "WTF is that hammer?"
- Me:.....

Me, my friend and one other geek stayed seated for the hammer. It was the best part of Iron Man 2. And I'm not dissing IM2 even though it had it's problems, but the first time you hear cheering should be during the film... not the 30 second shot after the credits.

Just saw the tv spot last night and gonna see it... But not thrilled with the voice. Thor sounds like just any other guy. Had to do something wrong I guess.

awesome! but he's not really a god he's a part of an alien race (the Asgardians) which have such limitless technology it looks like magic to us... but oh well what ever...

@NeoBaggins True... Though at my theater, everyone cheered when "Iron Man 2" came up and when it ended. But only the geeks like me cheered at the post-credits scene...

BTW, I'll never understand why people treat Iron Man 2 like Spider-Man 3 or Batman & Robin. Granted, it wasn't as good as the 1st movie, but it definitely wasn't a bad movie... It was my favorite 2010 movie alongside Inception, Kick-Ass, Toy Story 3, Black Swan and Scott Pilgrim...

@teabag Hahaha!

I wonder how much they're going to play up this god angle. On one hand, it makes him different from other characters. On the other hand, it has the potential to turn off some religious potential viewers if they push it too hard. I think the way the story itself seems to be written, it won't offend anyone, but you know how some people can be.

I still say that Marvel should have it's own symbol for all of the Marvel Movie Universe movies . Just because they are made by Marvel and better .

See, it's better if they advertise the shit out of it being connected with The Avengers, and then barely talk about it in the movie except to lay groundwork for plot.

I think the only real reference to Iron Man in the film will be the Shield agent asking Coulson if the Destroyer is one of Stark's armors.

Damn, this movie is going to RULE! WINNING!

Wise move by Marvel. Bring the IronMan boxoffice fanbase to Thor's boxoffice.

MCU doing work! I'm honestly not sure what movie will be better, thor or cap. Thor looks epic, but I think cap's story will be more popular with people.

I was just thinking, hopefully by the end of this year they will release both Cap & Thor on dvd then I can watch all of the MCU films in chronological order (Cap, IM, IM2, Thor). The tv spot has me thinking that IH is still part of the MCU what do u guys think?

The God of thunder, not the alien of thunder!

What made you think that TIH wasn't part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Did you not see Tony Stark's cameo at the end of the film?

Im glad they used Iron man to advertise, i doubt non-fan would see it if they didn't know it was attached to the marvel universe even if the Marvel logo was obvious

Wait, is this an official trailer from Marvel or some ad the TV show made?

Asking because they show The Incredible Hulk, Hulk. Which just makes me sad again because the continuity will not be there in regards to Hulk. *sigh* :P :(
