Wow. Latino Review is gonna get major props for this one. They have just received an exclusive look at the Destroyer, a villain from the Thor comics, on the set of Thor in New Mexico.

Latino Review's source says:
THE DESTROYER is sent to earth by Loki to destroy Thor. It stands at about 9 FEET TALL.

For those you aren't sure what the Destroyer(via Wiki), The character first appears in Journey into Mystery #118 (Jul. 1965) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The Destroyer is an enchanted suit of armor forged by Odin, and when it first appeared it was hinted that the Destroyer had been created as a weapon to face some dark menace from the stars. The Destroyer is used by Thor's arch-foe Loki on several occasions, and each time has actually come close to killing Thor.

I'm usually a doubter but that looks too damn good to not be real.
Ryden

If this is real do you guys think Loki himself is in the armour or merley controlling it? Actually when ya think about it, Loki (inevitabley) will fail to stop Thor with the Destroyer (if it's real of course) so he tries to find something stronger and more powerful that he can control...someone like....THE HULK!!! :)

Also does this mean we might see the Celestials at one point in Thor? Like in a sequel or something? Because that's the "threat from the stars" in the comics.

It doesnt have to be pulled down to be real. Usually studios demand websites to pull down material that has been leaked. I dont know if they can say anything about a paparazzi pic.

If this is real, that's one a the most spot on comix-to-movie transitions ever...

But fir real, [frick] latino review.

Why is it so randomly placed with NOTHING or NO ONE around it? I'm more then skeptical about this...

I wanna see Odin IN the destroyer armor.

In other words, they will ask for concept art, promotional pics, leaked footage to be taken down cuz it belongs to them. This picture belongs to whoever took the picture.

I not too familiar with Thor...but this looks sweet! And it looks like the comic book, something I always love when they do it in movies.

It just seems wierd. WHy would they just have a statue of the Destroyer. Seems if they were going to use it and it was as big in the comics, they'd just CGI it. Seems goofy and fake to me, but looks ultra badass!

There was a report a couple of weeks back saying that we would get official Thor pics arround the same time IM2 opened and some un-official stuff just prior to the release.

That is spot on, I can't wait to see Thor's costume.

Nothing can physically harm the destroyer armour. It is enchanted and I believe composed of Uru metal, the same as thor's hammer. Ryden is correct, Either Loki is in it or is controlling it. There's even a comic issue when Sif dons the armour and Thor unknowingly fights her.
