Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios.

Meh I'll see this in 2D. First one was terrible in 3D. I wish they would have an IMAX 2D version of movies now that are 3D. Oh well.

"digitally re-mastered" my ass. I was thinking of seeing it the regular theater. Forgot all about about Marvel 3D postconversion (kinda shitty if you wanna know my opinion)
Anyway, in my country we don't get to choose if we wanna see new Marvel movie in 3D or 2D instead. I still don't know who is to blame. Marvel or the local distributor ?

Hope there are 9 realms.

It looks like only Earth, Asgard, and the Dark Elves area

I really wish I could watch these movies in 2-D as the 3-D in the MCU movies has been non existent and piss poor to say the least, too bad my theater only ever has the 3-D versions...

Well I live in Europe and my distributor is Blitz Cinestar (don't know if you heard of it) but they usually only have the 3-D version of a big movie and some IMAX rip off called Extreme or some shit like that and it always makes the movie tickets expensive as [frick]. Except the Wolverine which was only in 2-D which I was thankful for.... Until they announced Kick Ass 2 wont be coming to my country until September 12th....

I'm gueesing you're from Croatia.

Imax Rip Off ? Really ? Never heard about such nonsense.

All of the big summer movies were only in 3D ? There wasn't any choice ?

@jerryblake

Yea I do live in Croatia, how did you know lol? As for Extreme its actually pretty cool because it has like a huge ass screen and these special speakers that enhance the sound but IMAX already does that so why cant we just have IMAX? And yea we don't have any choice, you either watch it in IMAX 3-D or you cant watch it at all which sucks because it makes the ticket price cost 50 kunas! Imagine paying 50 bucks for a single ticket, thats how it is here in my money.

ou only ever watch a movie in that 3D gimmick if it's 1) a movie like Avatar that's specifically designed to be a 3D spectacle 2) you're forced to, as the cinema near you is only showing 3D versions. If your reason for watching a 3D showing is not for one of the above, you've only got yourself to blame.

The 3D gimmick is the biggest con out there right now, adds absolutely nothing to the movie, just a new method to extort an extra bit of cash from you. I'm also starting to see Cinemas give the 3D showing the best timeslots and putting the 2D showings either early in the morning or late in the night, Cinemas need to be fined for doing rubbish like that.
