Ragnarok is upon us, as Taika Waititi-helmed movie opens in the U.S. next Friday. The end of Odinson's MCU trilogy is a great opportunity to look back at the first Thor's epic adventure. Kenneth Branagh, the picture's director managed to bring to life the alien Viking nation of Asgard and his Shakespearean background was clearly felt, especially in the movie's ending.

One of the best moments of Thor was the main hero's final clash with the Destroyer, the controlled by Loki intransigent guardian of Asgard. Ryan Meinerding who's the concept artist at Marvel Studios, offers us a new look at the keyframe sequence from the first MCU Thor appearance and the final proof that he's worthy.

Check out the concept art and don't forget to comment on the first Thor movie down below!

@DashParr - He's pretty much the Ralph McQuarrie of Marvel, hope he and Andy Park get the respect in future generations as Ralph did.

Man i love the first Thor. I liked Ragnarok too, though it was an entirely different beast.

I get why people don't like it, but I still love the first Thor. It isn't particularly deep or complex, but it's fun and funny, with nice action and a great villain. I would've been happy if Kenneth Branagh stayed on for the next two.
