Thor: 3D or not to 3D?

Why I'm going to watch Thor in 2D...maybe...kinda...I'm not sure yet.

Should I watch Thor in 3D?

PROS:

Possibly a better, immersive experience.

Natalie Portman (need I say more?).

CONS:

Could end up as another Clash of the Titans

3D can distract from the narrative (due to the constant rubbing of eyes and removal of glasses)

Causes headaches (though for a cbm I'll sit through almost anything)

The little details can be lost, for instance if Iron Man 2 were shown in 3D, would we have noticed all that easter egg stuff at the end? Like the check points on the map?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I'll probably end up seeing it in 3D, I don't really mind either way, but 3D is something I can only experience in the cinema as I dont have the cash for a 3D TV.
And do a lot of people actually get headaches and sore eyes from 3D?
Plus, IMO the first time I watch a movie is all about immersion, the little details and easter eggs are only something i look for when i watch it again, but that's just me :)

cinemablend.com has a good feature where they review just the 3D on a film to tell you if it's worth the extra money. They grade the blurriness, the in front of the window and beyond the window effects, brightness, and any other issues that go along with 3D. Personally I'm hoping they did a good conversion job because I'd like to see this in IMAX 3D.

2D all the way. 3d is annoying and a waste of money. Also this probably should be in Features.

It's a waste of money for YOU, because YOU find it annoying. I find bad 3D annoying, but I love well-done 3D.

@jbak368: I know I'm talking about my opinion. This person did ask us what we think. Am I correct? I was merely replying to this article.

I'll probably see it in both.
I don't mind 3D when done well. So if I see it in 3D and find it bothersome, I'll go see it again in 2D.

I'll see it opening night in 3D. The other 3 or 4 views at the cinema will be in 2D for budgetting reasons. Gotta save some money for the GL and Cap viewings.

The way I see it I will watch this movie many times when it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray in 2D so for that one glorious time that I see it in the IMAX I can't wait to see the 3-D!!!!!

I watched it in Real3D and it was stunning. BUT I think it made the action set pieces harder to watch as far as what's going on. Its not a format I champion. It wasn't crap, I'd just always go 2D

3D. The fight on Jotunheim against the Frost Giants will probably have an added layer of depth that cannot be reached otherwise. Can't wait for an experience of Asgardian proportion.

I watched it in 2d last night. Was an easy 9/10 and cant see 3d making it any better. 3D sucks with the exceptions of Tron and Avatar. Thor is awesome!!!!!!!!!
