I'm hoping that in either this movie or the sequel Loki will actually come to Thor's aid and switch sides, as it were. He is such a complex character and deserves to have all of his multiple facets shown.

I'm going to venture a guess - Loki will be something of a Magneto/Barbossa.

@brazilianbatman In the movies they kinda give the impression that his hammer gives him the ability to fly (which makes sense cause the other asguardians can't fly). If you watch whenever he takes off he spins mjolnir and it kinda pulls him forward. If he's fighting with it then he can't use it to fly as easily.

LFANCH - 10/20/2012, 10:25 AM
@brazilianbatman cap's shield is supposed to be totally vibration resistant. It's kind of a God-win sort of weapon when it comes to things hitting it.

The Iron man and Thor fight was close because Iron man is too popular to look like a wuss. However, if you notice he was taking a lot of damage whereas Thor really didn't even when he gets hit.

And hulk is definitely stronger than thor.
MartianSupermanhunter22

@brazillionbatman: caps shield is near indestructable.
Thor was toying with Iron Man
Who told you Thor is stronger than the Hulk?

Newer Villains
More Action
Larger Scope
More Faithful Adaptation
Better Cast

I may be biased because of the disappointment in Superman Returns (still want my money back). I dont understand how there has been like 7 Superman movies and he has only fought Luthor, Zod, and Nuclear man (SMH). Thor has been in 3 movies and fought the same amount of villians Loki, and Dark Elves (Malekith the Accursed). Even with Nolan on pen and Snyder on lens I dont see how they can make Superman enjoyable and fresh anymore. I would be more excited if it was Brainiac, Parasite, Lobo, Darkseid, or Doomsday.

BTW Caps arm didnt break because of the very concept behind Vibranium.
Thor and Ironmans match wasnt evenly matched Thor was holding back + it makes for better drama.

@Tainted
I would give it to Loki (Comic version) because of the range of powers he has and the manipulation he is capable of. Magneto is a inspirational leader with an amazing control over a primal force but I still can't see him killing Loki (which it would come down to).

In the words of the nfl game day crew Come On Man lol You mean to tell be caps shield, a man made weapon by the way is stronger than Thor's hammer really, if cap shield is so powerful how did the humans mold it into the shield. Come on now. Thor hammer causes all kinds of distruction but it cannot damage a man made shield lol Then Thor should definitely be stronger than iron man it's no contest whiplash put up a better fight with him than Thor, as a matter of fact whiplash was going to take him out if not getting hit by a car lol
ATrueHero1987
ATrueHero1987 - 10/20/2012, 10:35 AM
Iron Man at first had the upperhand because Thor didn't expect to find someone that can at least take him on in a fight on earth. Then Thor started kicking ass.

Thor should wear his helmet, I agree Lowell58 at least for the final fight scene.

Caps shield is man made but out of Alien materials. Caps shield is not more powerful than Thors hammer but it can withstand and repel a direct hit from it. Thor has thousands of ways to destroy caps shield just not with a direct hit. They have never met each other in that scene so Thor underestimated the beauty of Vibranium.

LFANCH
LFANCH - 10/20/2012, 10:49 AM
@dardarkknight It doesn't matter if it's man made, the materials it's made of are what's important. And it's made of vibranium, which is totally vibration absorbent. hence the being able to withstand any direct contact.

and whiplash was fighting tony stark at the beginning of that fight, not Iron man. He got in a few hits on him after he suited up but Iron man beat him down pretty quick.

I mean, iron man certainly got some shots in on thor, but they didn't look like they were doing anything. whereas iron mans armor was getting progressively more beat up as the fight went on.

I dont think that this fight is going to be a main battle in this film. There will be at least 4 fight scenes and this will most likely be the first. Remember he has Malekith and Kurse to deal with.

never really posted here before but I've been watching the site for ages, people might be interested to hear this. In work today (retail shop in Cardiff, UK) had some HUGE beefcake looking guys in promoting their local gym. One of these guys (seriously not a comic book fan) was an extra on the set of Thor 2 in England when they filmed that recent scene (with lady sif etc) He says he was one of the dark elf extras, I took advantage of his comic book knowledge naivety and asked as much as I could. Asking if theres simply any other comic book heroes featured in the film.. He confirmed that on the set there were alot of tight lipped rumblings of Dr. Strange being in the film (apparently similar cameo to hawkeye) and that Malekith is 100% the villain, (he also showed me on his iphone, him and chris hemsworth in a photo in their costumes).

100% genuine, felt like this is the only place to post this as half of my facebook feed wouldn't know / care lol!
ajizzle4658
ajizzle4658 - 10/20/2012, 11:03 AM
also, he really did not know much about comics or the superhero worlds, really not his type of film (he's been a few other non-related films as a huge extra) and nobody knows who Dr. Strange is frankly, so for him to say thats the only one hes aware of in the film.

[frick] yeah avengers 2 boyeeeeeeeeeeeeee

however i do see Loki becoming a progressivlely better person throughout the films. he is going to screw it up with so many "eviler" people and have no choice but to turn to thor for help. then when he finally makes peace with his brother they will phase him out of the movies
