THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Promo Art Reveals A Weird Change To Korg's Appearance Not Seen In The Trailers

Newly revealed Thor: Love and Thunder promo art confirms Taika Waitit's Korg will be rocking an updated appearance in the sequel that's different to what we've seen in the trailers. This is a weird one...

This feels like an April Fool's Day joke, but it appears Korg will be rocking a mean 'tache in Thor: Love and Thunder. The fan-favourite Kronan looks set to play a lead role in the movie, but this facial hair, well, it's a little weird if we're being honest!

Korg painting a mustache on himself is a suitably comical development for the character, but it means that a lot of the other promo art and merchandise we've seen is inaccurate. For example, there's no facial hair on Korg's Marvel Legends action figure, but it's not uncommon for toys like that to be different from what ends up on screen.

Needless to say, we're hoping to see more of Korg's impressive 'tache in the next Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, but this is officially released promo art and not something that's been changed by a fan looking to cause a stir among MCU fans online.

Take a closer look at this promo art below:

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Sounds like an electrifying ride, eh?

Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.
