Thor: Ragnarok is essentially going to be a team-up movie between the God of Thunder and Jade Giant, and in an interview with E! Online at the New York premiere for Now You See Me 2, Mark Ruffalo teased a very different status quo for both characters. "I haven't started filming, but I've been prepping for it and I'm really excited about it. I think we're going to do some really cool stuff."

What cool stuff? The actor wouldn't say, but he did go on to tease a very different status quo for both characters, and based on the way he describes Thor, it sounds like he'll be getting the worst of it (no real surprise when you consider the fact that we recently heard the hero will end up having his head shaved). "We're going to see some new stuff with the Hulk. We're going to see some new stuff with [Bruce] Banner. We're definitely going to see some new stuff for poor old Thor." More comments can be found in the video above, but when he was asked about director Taika Waititi, Ruffalo added: "He's amazing. It's got a lot of heart and a lot of fun in it, so I'm excited to get started on that."

In other Thor: Ragnarok news, it's been revealed today that the movie will begin shooting on July 4th at the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast in Australia. Hundreds of extras are expected to be involved and will be chosen from locals in the surrounding area. This movie is going to be big...

Hopefully this is a big success and puts some momentum into a solo Hulk sequal.

I remember when they said they would teach the world what 'Ragnarok' meant after they teased the title reveal with a dark and brooding font covered in Lava hinting at Surtur, who was already teased in Thor; The Dark World...

Now its suddenly going to become a shortened version of Planet Hulk and they have not made any attempt to advertise the dark and horrific nature of 'The end of all things'. Maybe they'll start marketting it better next year after the release of GOTG2 or Spider-man Homecoming... but at the moment i feel this could be the weakest film in Phase 3.

@Scarilian - for all we know Ragnarok occurs, or is impending. Thor may think he can reverse it if he gets this ULTIMATE WEAPON.

We may indeed see the gloom and doom of the actual event. The road trip aspect may be the fun adventure where Thor wants to reverse an event he may not be able to. OT somehow influence it. I feel like Hela will prevent those who fall from entering Valhalla and keep them prisoner in Helsinki as damn ed souls. Thor may be trying to use this weapon to get the into Valhalla

@Scarilian - Based on? At this point there's nothing concrete about a about the movie at all, just someone saying this, someone saying that.

@Scarilian - If you actually think that, then clearly you haven't seen any of Taika Waititi's movies prior to this. The guy's a bonafide genius.

@Scarilian -
It was teased a few months back that the Planet Hulk storyline would be incorporated but it would be part of a Hulk story arc that extended over 3 movies.

I personally liked the first Thor and I didn't even hate Thor 2, but I noticed something.

In the first Thor, Asgard looked grand and majestic and beautiful.

In The Dark World, it looked... alright.

Hopefully, Waititi can restore Asgard to it's former glory.
