Even though Joss Whedon is no longer involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his output is still valued. In the short tweet The Avengers director expressed his admiration for the New Zealander’s work and calls Thor: Ragnaroka modern masterpiece”. That’s quite a praise considering that Whedon helmed one of the best reviewed and beloved comic-book movies of the past decade and now he’s got a chance to work on another massive production, Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
