THOR: RAGNAROK Leaks Online A Month Early Due To A Massive iTunes Mishap

Apple has inadvertently allowed pre-order customers to download Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok a month early due to a huge mix-up with Vudu and the Movies Anywhere Service. Will this affect home release sales?

Thor: Ragnarok is quickly spreading across a number of torrent and streaming sites at a "furious rate" following a huge blunder from iTunes and Vudu which has allowed customers to download digital copies of the Marvel movie a month before release.

The error is said to be a case of miscommunication between the two companies, who are part of the Movies Anywhere service which allows users to access their collection of movies across various devices and apps. The mishap first came to light in a now deleted Reddit post in which a user claimed that after they pre-ordered the movie on Vudu they were then given the option to download it on iTunes. There is no word on how this situation came to pass and where exactly communication broke down between the two companies.

Either way, this is the first time a film has leaked online this far in advance and casts the Movies Anywhere service in a pretty poor light. Disney have yet to comment on the situation and how they will address this going forward. It remains to be seen whether this will affect Thor: Ragnarok's home release sales and pre-orders.

What do you guys think of this? Sound off below.
