THOR: THE DARK WORLD: Something You Might Have Missed In The New Trailer

I'm pretty sure the new Thor: The Dark World trailer blew you away, but I spotted a certain similarity between a character that many of you may not have noticed and may blow you away even more. Read on for more!

For those of you that have seen the new Thor: The Dark World trailer, you were probably mind-blown (I was). I was especially mind-blown in the end when I recognized a certain character that Thor crumbled to pieces in the end. If you're familiar with the Direct-to-Video animated film known as Planet Hulk then you're in for a surprise.

You should remember this big lug being defeated by Thor in the new trailer.

But do you remember Korg from Planet Hulk?

Korg is a Kronan, a race that exists within the Marvel Universe and have much affiliation with the characters Thor and Hulk. I'm not saying that this guy in the trailer is Korg but he sure as hell is a Kronan and I won't jump to theories. So what do you think about a comic-book accurate race being in Thor: The Dark World? I agree 100% it is a Kronan from the 1st appearance of Thor and the Planet Hulk and World War Hulk series. Hey you never know we might just get a Planet Hulk down the road.

Wouldn't it be funny if all you guys were wrong and elmayimbe was right about a Planet Hulk and WWH film? It would make sense to introduce the Kronan race if they did do that since Korg is a huge player in Planet Hulk.

That trailer looks incredibly great!

However that scene with Jane slapping Loki was meh, she's talking about "That's for New York" yet she was no where to be found the entire movie. Though I do remember Fury said she was safe somewhere. Then again, it doesn't really matter if she was there or not anyone would smack someone who [frick]ed up an entire city! lol

In the Incredible Hulk sequel I honestly want to see 2 things...

-The Leader
-Doc Samson (gamma radiated)

Or

-A-Bomb
-Red Hulk

What if in Avengers 2 Hulk does something towards the end that no one would ever forgive and in the process they shoot him into space. Having a Hulk mkvie for phase 3. You can either call it "Planet Hulk", "World War Hulk" or "The Indestructible Hulk". Having him return in Avengers 3. A planet hulk movie would be visually awesome

Or possible a "gamma world" storyline with Hulk going up against all these gamma freaks created by The Leader! A Doc Samson and Hulk team-up would be great to see!

@ShogunNevets

I wouldn't mind seeing a film like that. There would be miles of action and stunning visuals everyone would be astonished by. However I believe they already confirmed that the Hulk sequel will be grounded. I think that after the events of Avengers 3 he will be flung into space because by then you'll have Doctor Strange and Iron Man who were both part of the Illuminati team that sent Hulk into space right? I knew there was Prof. X, Mr Fantastic, Doctor Strange and someone else Iron Man right?

I think a World War Hulk or Planet Hulk film will be best after Phase 3.

The trailer was mediocre.
Good thing was it didn't show too much.
Hopefully this film takes place mostly off-Earth.

Best rock-skinned Marvel character is The Ever Loving Blue Eyed "THING".
Ben Grimm needs to look badass in a new FF movie.
CG look..no guy in a foam rubber suit.

Although it may look "mediocre" or just "good" it looks a LOT better than the first Thor. That was truly a crapfest I it wasn't for the Loki and Thor scenes.

Remember that Katt Dennings has a much larger role as well. That's one thing that has mr thinking that they're not showing too much for a reason. It's a trailer what do you expect? However I can understand if you guys wanted to see more of the actual antagonist and less Loki. lol

In Kurse shot atvthe 1:45 mark, what is the black stuff Loki have in his face? It can be seen if you pause with 1080p. Looks like the Lone Ranger mask..

A Kronan, cool. I love how Planet Hulk retconned their invasion in the first appearance of Thor. They land in Norway, immediately get their asses handed to them by the thunder god, assume all earthlings as as strong as Thor, and leave with their tails between their legs.

By the way, if you haven't rea Planet Hulk it's way better than the animated adaptation. Great stuff.

I used to have my doubts about Thor 2. At the start of the year I thought IM3 would be better, how wrong I was, but this trailer got my attention, I'm excited for the villains mostly and how they focus more on Asgard this time, that was the flaw with the first one, this looks to be pretty [frick]ing great
