THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Star Chris Hemsworth Hasn't Seen The Screenplay, But Knows When Shooting Begins

There's a huge amount of excitement surrounding Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder, and Chris Hemsworth has now offered an update on both the screenplay and when shooting is expected to begin...

At this year's San Deigo Comic-Con, Marvel Studios revealed that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi will take the helm of Thor: Love and Thunder for a November 2021 release date.

Chris Hemsworth (who will be reprising the role of Thor despite there being plans for Natalie Portman's Jane Foster to wield Mjolnir) recently made an appearance at Tokyo Comic-Con and revealed that, as of right now, he's yet to read the screenplay for the highly anticipated sequel.

"I know they’re working very hard on it and pretty excited to bring you something pretty fresh and new again," the actor said. "But having left Endgame, where Thor was, we have a lot of room to move there and drastically change again, which is very, very exciting." The actor added that the plan is for Love and Thunder to start shooting in mid-2020, which definitely makes sense.

With that in mind, we can probably expect to begin to see casting news early next year, but a trailer probably won't arrive until late 2020/early 2021 so it's best not to get too excited about that yet!

Hopefully its good, i like ragnarok but one major problem i had with it is that they had to throw out the thor mythos to make a good thor movie. Its called ragnarok and it pretty much is only important for the begining and end of the movie. Part of the reason i proffer wonder woman and aquaman.

From what ive heard this was one of the few diversity changes marvel made that people actually came around on. Hopefully they can replicate that success

@dracula - Although I don't really see it as a major problem, I do hope this one is gonna dive more into the mythos. And since Balder is an important figure post-Ragnarok in the mythos, I hope we get to see him too

@MalseMarcel - Hopefully Sif shows up as well. Maybe finally use the Enchantress, too bad they already used Executioner

This.
This shit right here, i'm not a fan of continuously changing things drastically, not with Thor at least...
It's OK to stick with a new status quo for a lil bit, you know?

I wanted more from that Thor post Ragnarok.
Even more from the IW and...honestly non that much from the one in Endgame but that's me.

Giving Odinson a new eye was a mistake and didn't serve jackshit if not for a couple of shitty ass jokes.

@Doomsday8888 - Lol I can understand your points from last stupid one.

"Giving Odinson a new eye was a mistake and didn't serve jackshit if not for a couple of shitty ass jokes."

Are you confusing it with fat thor? because there is only one joke about putting the eye in and they never talk about it. And to be honest it's not really a mistake either imo. The only downside he doesent look as cool anymore.

@MrFox
I remember that gag with Rocket etc...
It served no other purpose.
But having an eyepatch, i mean, yeah he's a total badass with it, but he also reminds us of Odin.
Now more than ever, he actually understands his father.
Now that he is King.
Shit was just perfect imho.

@Doomsday8888 - Lol what etc? It was one joke. And that has to serve some purpose in the story.

And he never needed no eye to be king. He's thor. Did king Bor have one eye?

But of course obviousaly since he has a eye he now does not understand odins character. What nonsense.

@BountyCipher
Then my point still stands.
It served NO purpose AT ALL.

@MrFox
Helluva way to miss the point, buddy.

@Doomsday8888 - You don't have a point. You're just whinning about one shitty joke. It's childish as [frick].

@BountyCipher
No, i meant giving him a new EYE served no purpose.
I was trying to be generous with that joke example.
By that i meant that one could always say that they did that in order to make that joke.
But like you said, it barely meant anything...

I wish they would adapt some of Jason Aaron's Thor run. Would love to see Gor and the multiple versions of Thor.
