Italian website BadTaste have revealed that they had a chance to see the teaser trailer and posted the following description. The "announcement teaser" as director Michael Bay recent called it is expected to be attached to either The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader or TRON: Legacy.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, from the teaser, plays it on conspiracy theories related to the moon landing. The first part of the movie alternates images of the control room at NASA and of the astronauts on the moon. The landing is what we know well, as are the famous words about the “giant leap for mankind.” But we did not know what is the journey of the astronauts on the dark side of the moon, until the control room do not tell them that “…then we are not alone.” Then we see some Transformers: the camera comes close to the eye of one of them, which starts to flash. But the camera does not stop, and takes us inside the robot and its mechanisms, making us understand that it’s coming back into action.

Starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk and John Turturro, Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D on July 1, 2011.

Transformers 1 was good... although I was never a fan of the toys or cartoons while growing up, now ROTF did stink big time

Didn't the original Transformers teaser trailer have a moon rover that gets destroyed. Then you see a shadow of something on the moon's surface. Sounds like Bay turned his original teaser into the third movie. Running out of material Mr. Bay;)

things that could happen thanks to the insane mind of Bay-
moon blows up
make megatron a complete wuss (again)
Shia LaBitch in a space suit
shockwave upstaging megatron >_<
original rocket was an autobot
public finally aware of their presence( seriously how did they cover up the fight in 1 and the others?)
So yeah the sad part is Ill probably see it and still want a reboot.

@symbiote- I could totally see the rocket being an autobot...that would suck so much....and they'd probably give him a Russian accent and make him hate how he helped America win the space race...or something along those lines...might be a bit too intelligent for Michael Bay.

As long as they have some Stan Bush on the soundtrack, I'll be fine.

The first one was great, the second was ok. It would have been better without the robot genitalia and the racial stereotyped robots.

That being said, lighten up everyone. These are movies about talking, transforming robots. They will never win an oscar for best picture. They're fun movies with shit blowing up and a sexy actress (Megan, not Rosie) showing a litle skin. It is supposed to enable you to kick back and forget about the problems of the world for 2 hours.

I thought the first two movies were good fun. Brainless sure, but cool effect and stunts with a little bit of comedy mixed in makes an enjoyable enought 2 hours for me. Maybe that's just because I'm not a fan of the original series (and so cant see the faults that real fans do) but I'm looking forward to the next one. :)

The problem I have with Bay's Transformer movies is a)They don't look like Transformers...it's actually pretty tough to discern whats even going on when they are all fighting or if theres fast moving action and b)Nothing requires them to be transformers...they could easily be replaced with any random aliens or robots. There's nothing Transformers'ish about the movies. Bay even gets the classic lines wrong. Like in the 1st one where Optimus says "Roll Out" before they head to the Dam. He needed to say "Autobots, Transform and Roll Out!". I know it went back and forth on the show but the iconic classic version was Transform and Roll Out. Just little things that they're trying to put in for the hardcore fans but missing the mark in trying.

@JoshW - Agreed. People just need to enjoy them for what they are. And I was a die hard fan of the original series, watched every episode's original run on tv when I was a kid.

It's a teaser just like the first film had with the outlined Transformer picking up that Mars rover thing.

How is it a stupid concept? You don't like it when movies impliment historical events or people? They did it with the first film (which you watched and like), and even during the same first film, they mentioned building the Hoover Dam specifically for the Cube, which I thought was pretty cool twist on its origin and purpose lol. So you're telling me you don't like stuff like that?

Starscream was voiced by the same actor who did Cobra Commander's vioce in the old 80s cartoon shows. :P I miss that guy, his voice was awesome.

The first movie had some real bad acting, and weak plot, but had some good action scenes, and it was great seeing the Transformers on the big screen. The second movie was just a longer version of the first film's plot, with more holes. Trending wise, the third does not bode well.
