Yesterday at CinemaCon Wahlberg spoke on why he thinks Transformers will be a hit film. "For moviegoers all over the world, I guarantee this will take it up a notch, Michael promised me it would be a very different, stand-alone movie, which it absolutely is. It is bigger and better than the other three (films) combined. This will be the biggest movie of 2014." He then talks about why he wanting to take the role for the film." I had to jump at the opportunity because I really feel like it is probably the most iconic franchise in movie history." He also adds what the director wanted him to know about before taking the role. "He wanted me to make sure that you all understand that the effects are temp,"


 
Transformers: Age of Extinction is an upcoming 2014 American science
fiction action film based on the Transformers franchise. It is the fourth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and stars Mark Wahlberg in the lead role . Serving as a sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the film takes place four years after the invasion of Chicago. Like its predecessors, the film is directed by Michael Bayand executive produced by Steven Spielberg. The screenplay is written by Ehren Kruger, who served as screenwriter since Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This is the first film in the series to feature an entirely new cast and the first to feature the Dinobots. Returning Transformers include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Ratchet. The film is set for release on June 27, 2014, in IMAX and 3D.
