Optimus vs Megatron have an Epic Battle in Transformers Prime!

Optimus Prime and Megatron duke it out in epic fashion in the latest episode of Transformers Prime. One shall stand, One shall fall!

Transformers Prime has had it's moments during its first season, but has been mostly average at best. The new human characters are irritating, and the animation is not nearly as good as it could be. But the voicework, particularly from key characters such as Optimus Prime and Megatron, has been awesome. That is a large reason why I keep up with this show. In the latest episode, Optimus finally lets go of his passive nature and actually goes and seeks a fight with Megatron. Watch the video below to see what happens.

I agree the human characters especially the girl is really annoying, also what bothers me is that there are no other transformers on the show. They need to start bring in more transformers.

My biggest issue with this transformers cartoon is everything is so bland, Im not a huge fan of cgi cartoons like this as it is but everything in this world looks grey and boring. I would rather they go with animation like young justice, AEMH or some of the older style Transformers cartoons.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you.

this series is really fun to watch, the writing is clever, the characters are unique on their own way,and there's lots of easter eggs.

while the girl can be annoying sometimes, the other human characters are ok (Jack has a personality very similar to mine,so I can relate to him),and they're not nearly as annoying as the other human characters in the franchise (watch Transformers Energon and try to stand Kicker for 5 minutes).Fowler is badass,MECH is a serious threat and we haven't seen much of Jack's mom yet.

and I don't know about you,but I have all the episodes so far in HD and the animation is gorgeous and very detailed.unlike Star Wars The Clone Wars series, where the characters' moves are kind of stiff, the movement of the Transformers is realistic, mostly bacause they use motion capture technology for the animation.
yeah, the environments look kind of empty, especially the cities, but that must be a budget issue so I can forgive that.

@Spidey - Thanks for the comment. At best, I find the humans tolerable. I get that the show is trying to be new and unique, but that aspect of it has never really clicked for me. I would consider MECH more of a serious threat if I saw them more often - that they turn up sporadically and then get defeated does not qualify them as worthy opposition in my eyes. The writing has its moments, such as Arcee's battles with nemesis Arachnid, but is mostly predictable. That being said, at times I do enjoy watching the show, particularly when either Prime/Megatron/Starscream are doing their thing - the voice work is great, and if they can get the action up to this standard all the time, I can easily ignore its faults.

yeah, every scene involving Starscream is gold, the best representation of the character so far: he's cold, manipulative, badass and sometimes even deep, but still has his whiny charm that makes the original G1 Starscream so popular.
